🇦🇺🐉 IT’S OFFICIAL — SYDNEY 2034! 🐉🇦🇺

We are incredibly proud and excited to announce that Australia has been successful in its bid to host the 2034 IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival in Sydney! 💗

In 2034, breast cancer paddlers from around the world will come together on spectacular Sydney Harbour for an unforgettable celebration of paddling, friendship, survivorship and the incredible strength of our international breast cancer paddling community.

The 2034 IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival will be presented by the newly formed Strength in Unity Trust, with the support of Dragons Abreast Australia.

The Trust has been established with a vision to bring this extraordinary Festival to Australia and create something that will leave a lasting impact well beyond 2034.

There is an exciting journey ahead of us, but today is about celebrating what has been achieved.

Sydney 2034 is happening! 🇦🇺

The pink dragons are coming to Sydney.

🌏💖🐲🔥WHAT AN OPENING! 🇦🇺💗🌟

The 2026 IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival, France is officially underway - and what an incredible way to begin!

The Opening Ceremony had all the feels, kicking off with a spectacular Parade of Nations -a little like the Olympics, only with a lot more pink and with an incredible joy for life that can only be experienced at a BCP dragon boat event

Flags flying, a fabulous dragon dance, with multiple dragons- a floatilla of dragon boats and, everywhere you looked, cheers, hugs, support and love. Thousands of breast cancer paddlers and supporters from all around the world, all together in one very special place. Aix-Les Bains France! 🇫🇷

And proudly representing Melbourne Australia- our members marched
alongside paddlers from home and around the world. It was such a special moment. To look around and see thousands of women who’ve overcome the challenges of a breast cancer diagnosis to be united by dragon boating, friendship, strength and hope- it was truly unforgettable.

We may have travelled from the other side of the world, but once we stepped into that parade, we were part of one incredible global dragon boat family.

🌟Spectacular! 🌟
Today was our first time spent at the event site for the participatory Dragon Boat festival for Breast Cancer Survivors! Aix-les- Bains is an absolutely stunning venue- and it was incredible to finally take to the water and paddle on the course!

We paddled with one heart, flying fast across the course. It was also fantastic to meet some of the other crews including the team from Peterborough Canada who were on our bus.
We’re all feeling pretty proud to represent our team on the world stage!

Tomorrow we will be parading through the town as the festival officially launches!

Dragons Abreast Melbourne Pink Phoenix have arrived in the French Alps!!
💖🐲🔥
It was an absolute dream come true to paddle in such a stunning setting as Lake Annecy! The waters are as blue and crystal as you see them here.
With our buddies back home in our hearts, we paddled for almost two hours across the lake for all of us.
Many thanks to our supporters for watching our gear and taking some great pics to share !
An unforgettable experience, for which many of our crew have overcome personal challenges to achieve!

A large part of our team is currently in France for the International Dragon Boat Festival! 🐲🛶

Three of our members had the incredible opportunity to paddle with Dragon Masters. We’re so grateful to still be able to get out on the water and enjoy this wonderful sport.

A huge thank you to Dragon Masters for making us feel so welcome—we had a fantastic session today! 🙌🚣‍♀️
