Today, on Thank a First Responder Day, we would like to take a moment to recognise and thank the incredible people who answer the call when our community needs them most.
To our volunteers, thank you. Thank you for the time you give, the sacrifices you make, and the compassion you show to people on some of the most difficult days of their lives.
Today, we also extend our gratitude to all first responders across Australia. Whether you serve in ambulance, fire and rescue, police, SES, emergency communications, marine rescue, or any other emergency service role, thank you for your commitment to keeping our communities safe. Your professionalism, courage and dedication do not go unnoticed.
We would also like to acknowledge and thank the Donnybrook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service and South West District - WA Police. We are fortunate to work alongside such dedicated and supportive people. Whether we're attending incidents together, assisting one another behind the scenes, or simply checking in on each other after a difficult job, your support, teamwork and friendship are deeply appreciated.
Emergency services are strongest when we work together. It is reassuring to know that whenever our community needs help, there is a team of committed volunteers and emergency service personnel ready to step forward.
Thank you for everything you do, not just today, but every day. Your service makes a genuine difference to the lives of those in our community, and it does not go unnoticed.
