Night-time hunger or sugar cravings are nearly always a result of inadequate protein intake.⁠ ⁠ If you are getting the after-dinner munchies try a cinnamon or liquorice tea or change up your routine by going for a walk after dinner instead of watching TV. ⁠ ⁠

A protein ‘ice-cream’ after dinner also works a treat. Simply blend frozen berries (or frozen banana and raw cacao) with protein powder and a splash of milk (your choice of milk). Don’t add too much milk or you won’t get the ‘ice-cream’ consistency.

Studies have shown that just before ovulation your creativity, organisational skills, lateral thinking and productivity are at their best. So for women with a regular 28 day cycle, this productive peak is probably around days 10-14.

Before your period is often a more melancholy time, so consider saving your critiques for when your mood is a bit more ‘up’ so you can handle potential negative feedback more easily.

If you can understand your body and your hormones, you can work your schedule in such a way to optimise your talents according to your cycle.

I should note though that studies have shown women who take the Pill had no patterns of increased creativity throughout their cycle.

These mean different things to different women. If you are in your reproductive years, low oestrogen is often associated with excessive exercise, low-carb diets, restrictive eating, vegan diets or high stress. The underlying cause needs to be identified and addressed.

In menopausal women, there is a natural decline in oestrogen which can be supported with herbal and nutritional supplementation in addition to lifestyle modification.
