Creativity, Connection, Stillness.

These are my three core values.

I’m someone who has always lived by values, but to be honest, up until I undertook 's powerful Sacred + Sovereign journey for space holders, I couldn’t pin down exactly what these were. So for the last 6 months, I have been working towards embodying these and cultivating them in my life.

So…I would love to introduce you to the new phase of my evolution.

I was going to do this with a big announcement, a fanfare full of productive energy. But in the light of following my value of Stillness, I'm instead inviting you to my new, changed little corner of this social media world.

There was also going to be a whole new business model and way of helping people, but for now I'm letting things evolve without forcing them.

So there’s no website, no 1 on 1 sessions (yet) and no pressure for this to exist as anything other than the permission my imagination is needing to run ahead...without immediately asking it where the business plan is. 🤣 (In saying that though, there might just be a Youtube channel in the pipeline! Ha ha!)

I will be sharing my art, thoughts, wellbeing tips for creative minds and ideas on how we can all be creative about our wellbeing.

I’m getting back to my creative roots. Drawing because I enjoy it, writing because I have something to say and sharing it because it’s a way for us all to connect.

So welcome. Thank you for being here. I hope you find inspiration and your own permission that things don’t have to be perfect before they're allowed to exist.

So, it’s like this…I’m going to be straight out, up front honest here, because, well…that’s how I roll.

I’ve been holding back posting anything with a fear of being seen as “flippant” or “flappy” or just that I don’t have a clue what I’m actually doing in my business.

But here’s the truth…my mental and physical health haven’t been the greatest in the last few months. I’ve had some health issues of my own to deal with, new medications that have been helpful but also a hinderence. Combine that with this Sunday the 31st being the 10 year anniversary of my Mum dying…well, it’s created a perfect little storm I’ve been living in lately.

It’s had me questioning everything but not in the way you might expect.

In my last post I announced how things would be changing in my business, with my work having a sole focus on grief.

Maybe it’s the Mani-Gen in me that wants another change, or the Libra side that needs everything to feel balanced, but I’ve come to the realisation that grief has dictated the last 10 years of my life. I don’t want it to have the same power over the next 10.

I will never not be grieving. It will never go away. Grief will always will be part of me. But I no longer want it to define who I am moving forward, or how I show up in the world.

I feel like, finally, I have reached a place where I can allow joy back into my life, without it constantly being matched up with sorrow.

Renaissance Kinesiology will be changing…again (sorry not sorry). More on that to come. I won’t be seeing clients for a little while until I figure out my next steps, but for now, I am trying to heed the words of a little quote my Mum used to keep on her desk…

”Be Brave With Your Life”.

So I’m doing exactly that.

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately…
on my work, and where I feel most aligned in it.

And I keep finding myself coming back to the same place.

Grief.

Not just as something I support people with…
but as the reason any of this exists in the first place.

Because my business didn’t start with my Kinesiology qualification.

It started with going through some of the darkest times of my life.

With loss.

With losing my mum.

With learning how to keep living while carrying such overwhelming grief.

When I first started Renaissance Kinesiology & Wellbeing, I opened my doors to support women moving through all kinds of experiences. Grief, trauma, stress, life transitions. I never wanted to turn anyone away who needed genuine support.

And while that came from a place of care, I think over time, it’s meant I’ve drifted from my why.

I think a big part of where I’m at professionally is also to do with where I’m at personally too.

This year marks 10 years since my mum passed away…
and I didn’t expect it to bring up what it has.

It’s has me reflecting on everything.
Not just my own grief, but why I started this work in the first place.

Because I didn’t become a Kinesiologist to be everything to everyone.
I started this because I know what grief feels like… and what it feels like to not have the kind of support you need.

So coming back to this 10-year mark has reminded me really clearly of the kind of work I’m actually here to do.

Moving forward, my work will be solely focused on supporting women navigating grief after the death of someone they love, care deeply for, or whose absence leaves a definite mark.

That might be a partner, parent, family member, child, friend, colleague
or a much-loved animal companion.

Not because other experiences don’t matter, but because this is where my work is most honest, grounded and deeply held.

So, grief does need to be part of your story to work with me.

As part of this, I’ll also be changing how I offer sessions.

Instead of one-off appointments, I’ll now only be offering a series of signature programs.

Each of these programs are designed to meet you where you are and support you over time, rather than offering a single moment of support.
Because grief needs space, time, connection and continuity.

And it deserves to be held properly. As do you.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately…
not because nothing’s been happening,
but because so much has.

For the past 6 months, I’ve been part of a deeply soul-expanding leadership journey for space holders called Sacred + Sovereign, guided by one of the most beautiful humans I have ever met .

It all came together with an in-person gathering on Saturday, sitting in circle with my fellow Sacred + Sovereign sisters, who all hold space in their own powerful ways.

And while I could try to explain what the experience was, it’s actually what it asked of me that feels most important to share.

Because there’s this quiet assumption in this work that those of us who hold others… have it all together.

But what often goes unseen is the work we do behind the scenes
to hold ourselves.

The kind of work that doesn’t always look pretty… but changes everything.

The unraveling.
The questioning.
The shedding of old conditioning.
The moments where we meet our own edges, again and again.

This space asked me to look at all of that.
To gently untangle what’s mine… and what never was.

And to come back to a version of leadership (and myself) that feels honest, grounded and deeply human.

I’m walking away with so much clarity about where I’m heading in my work and in my life.

And a whole lot of gratitude
for the women I got to sit beside,
and the kind of change we’re all here to create in this world.

I’m even more committed now
to the kind of spaces I’m here to hold.
