We're pleased to introduce **Dr Melvin Ma**, a highly experienced chiropractor with over **20 years of clinical practice** across rural Victoria and metropolitan Melbourne.

Dr Melvin is a registered chiropractor with **AHPRA**, the **New Zealand Chiropractic Board**, and the **Hong Kong Chiropractic Council**. Throughout his career, he has cared for patients of all ages—from just **3 weeks old to 102 years old**—including families, sporting athletes, and even Commonwealth and Olympic gold medallists.

His passion is providing high-quality, patient-centred care, taking a holistic and practical approach by combining chiropractic techniques with evidence-based, multidisciplinary healthcare.

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You 💙

To all of our wonderful patients who supported us yesterday, Saturday 4th July, on our first day back following the untimely passing of our beloved Dr Doug – thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Walking through the clinic doors without Doug was incredibly difficult, but seeing so many familiar faces and receiving your kind words, and support brought us great comfort.

Your kindness and encouragement mean more than words can express. Together, we will continue to honour Dr Doug's legacy by keeping his clinic open and continuing the compassionate care he dedicated his life to.

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the unexpected passing of our beloved Dr Doug on 5 June 2026.

This has been an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, staff, and patients. Dr Doug touched the lives of so many people, and his kindness, dedication, and commitment to helping others will never be forgotten.

In honor of the wonderful legacy, he created at Drouin Chiropractic Wellness Centre, his wife, Richie, has made the heartfelt decision to continue the clinic's work and keep Dr Doug’s vision alive — something we know he would have wanted.

We would like to introduce Dr Melvin Ma, a trusted friend and colleague of Dr Doug’s. Many of our patients may already know Dr Mel, as he has previously provided care at the clinic when filling in for Dr Doug.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr Mel was highly respected and trusted by Dr Doug with the care of his patients. For the next month, Dr Mel will initially be available on Saturdays, before transitioning to more permanent hours at the clinic.

Feeling tired? 😴

The liver has two key functions:

1. To store and release energy.

2. To detoxify foreign chemicals such as car fumes, artificial colourings, flavourings, and preservatives.

The nerve supply to the liver feeds from the thoracic vertebrae and the brain stem. If the nerves get irritated from spinal subluxation you may receive a poor nerve supply to the liver, which can then make you feel quite tired and unwell.

By correcting the spine it removes this interference and allows the organ to start functioning at a more optimum level.
