This is one of my favourites.🩵🤍

I just love the smell of this one. I think it’s the combination of bush flowers and essential oils. It comes with me to my clinic space, my home office, and when I travel away. (Yes, I do have the Sleep, Focus and Travel sprays too…) but this one is the all-rounder that lives in my handbag.

The Australian Bush Flower Essences Calm & Clear Skin & Space Mist is a beautiful support for emotional tension, mental overwhelm and those “always on” moments.

This blend is designed to encourage calmness, clarity, peace, winding down and taking time for yourself, especially when life feels full or demanding.

It contains the bush flowers:
Black-eyed Susan — slowing down and turning inward
Boronia — easing repetitive thoughts
Bottlebrush — coping, calm and moving forward
Bush Fuchsia — clear communication and integration
Crowea — peace, calm and emotional balance
Jacaranda — decisiveness and centred focus
Little Flannel Flower — playfulness, joy and lightness
Paw Paw — calmness and clarity when overwhelmed

It also contains the essential oils Neroli, Patchouli, Lavender and Sweet Orange, giving it a soft, calming and uplifting scent.

You can mist it around your space, treatment room, bedroom, car, or gently around yourself when you need a little reset.

Simple doesn’t mean insignificant. ❤

Pausing, moving gently and drinking good quality water can support so many parts of your wellbeing — from your nervous system, digestion, energy and mood to your immune system and overall body function.

Save this post as a little reminder to come back to every few days, especially when you need a gentle nudge to care for yourself with a bit more compassion.

For lymphatic support, you could try:

Gently place both hands on your neck, with your fingers resting under your ears and jaw. Slowly stretch the skin downward, then release and repeat, moving down towards your collarbone

Your hands aren’t sliding along the skin; it’s more of a gentle skin stretch. Remember to use a very light touch — go a little lighter than you think, and you’re probably almost there.

You can also place your fingers just above your collarbone and gently stretch the skin in toward the centre of your body. Gentle, intentional movement can support lymph flow, immune function and overall wellbeing.

You may also notice a calming sensation from these very light movements. In addition to working around important lymphatic areas, this region is also close to the vagus nerve, which is another reason this type of gentle touch can feel so soothing.

💚When you feel like you’re carrying too much, the Purifying Essence blend is for you!

I currently have the Purifying Essence Drops in stock for $19.95, along with other remedy drops in the ABFE range.

The Purifying blend is a pre-made flower essence combination traditionally used to support the release of emotional waste, built-up emotional baggage and that heavy, “I feel weighed down” feeling.

It contains six bush flowers:
Bauhinia — for acceptance and opening to change
Bottlebrush — for calm, coping and moving forward
Bush Iris — for clearing and deeper energetic release
Dagger Hakea — for forgiveness and expressing feelings
Dog Rose — for courage, confidence and self-belief

🍂🍂Autumn has felt a bit heavy for me this year, and from a TCM perspective, that actually makes sense.

Autumn is connected to the Metal element, which relates to the Lung and Large Intestine meridians. Think; grief, guilt, difficulty letting go, boundaries, skin issues and poor immunity.

❄️As we move closer to Winter, the energy shifts into the Water element, which is connected to the Kidney and Bladder meridians; deep rest, fear, willpower, stillness, restoration and our reserves.

And honestly, I’m looking forward to that slower Winter energy this year.

👋You might not feel “fearful”, but fear doesn’t always look like a panic attack, shaking, crying or feeling obviously scared.

Often, it’s much quieter.

Fear can look like:
🩵 needing to know what’s happening next (control)
🩵 keeping everyone else happy (people-pleasing)
🩵 staying busy because rest feels uncomfortable (distraction)
🩵 overthinking everything (mental rehearsal)
🩵 not speaking up because conflict feels too much (avoidance)
🩵 doing things “right” so you don’t feel judged (perfectionism)
🩵 holding back tears because vulnerability feels unsafe (emotional protection)

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, fear is often connected with the Water element, and the Kidney and Bladder meridians.

Fear may show up emotionally as a need for control, feeling numb or anxious, needing connection, or feeling like you can’t fully trust yourself or your instincts.

Physically, Water themes may be linked with lumbar pain or tension, weak knees, tight hamstrings or calf muscles, tender Achilles, waking to use the bathroom during the night, exhaustion, or feeling like your body is running on empty (think adrenal fatigue).

This post is simply an invitation to get curious and maybe ask yourself:

👉I people-please so I don’t have to feel…...
👉I stay busy because stillness brings up..…
👉I need control because uncertainty feels..…
👉I try to do things “right” because I’m worried people will think....
👉I hold back my emotions because being seen feels…..

Often, these patterns aren’t random.

They’re protective.

The problem is, what once protected you can eventually start limiting you.

In kinesiology, we work gently with the body and nervous system, so your body can feel safe enough to let go of old protective patterns.

SP6 - A beautiful acupressure point for women’s wellbeing. 🥰

Located on the inside of the lower leg, about four finger widths above the inner ankle bone, SP6 is where the Spleen, Liver and Kidney meridians meet in TCM.

Because of this, it’s often used to support:
✔️ menstrual discomfort and PMS
✔️ emotional overwhelm
✔️ digestion
✔️ sleep
✔️ feeling depleted
✔️ grounding and calming the body

SP6 can also be helpful when we’re looking at “damp” patterns from a TCM perspective.

Damp can feel like heaviness, sluggishness, bloating, fluid retention, brain fog, low energy, or that feeling of being physically and emotionally bogged down.

And sometimes, for women and mums, damp-style patterns can sit alongside the habit of over-nurturing everyone else while forgetting our own needs.

Too much giving.
Too little receiving.
Always caring.
Rarely being cared for.

⚠️ Pregnancy precaution: Please avoid using SP6 during pregnancy, especially after the third month. This point is traditionally known to influence the uterus and may stimulate uterine activity.

Sometimes we don’t know the full story yet…

There’s an old story often known as The Chinese Farmer or The Taoist Farmer, and it’s one I like to remember when things don’t go to plan.

This is a simplified version of the story.

A farmer’s horse runs away and his neighbours say, “What terrible luck.”

The farmer replies, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

The next day, the horse returns, bringing wild horses with it. His neighbours say, “What wonderful luck.”

The farmer replies, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

Then the farmer’s son tries to ride one of the wild horses, falls off and breaks his leg. The neighbours say, “What awful luck.”

The farmer replies, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

Not long after, soldiers come through the village to take the young men away to war. But because the farmer’s son has a broken leg, he is left behind. The neighbours say, “What good luck.”

The farmer replies, “Maybe so, maybe not. We’ll see.”

I love this story because it reminds me how quickly our minds label things as good or bad.

Sometimes we just don’t know the full story yet.

Maybe it’s a setback.
Maybe it’s a redirection.
Maybe we’ll understand it later.

but the way it’s applied matters 💯

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT) is a specific technique that works across three key areas;

🤎Lymph + Blood
Supports lymph flow and fluid movement by:
🔹Encouraging reabsorption of excess fluid
🔹Increasing the capacity of lymph vessels (collectors)
🔹Helping reroute areas of congestion
🔹Supporting blood capillary function

🤎Immune System
As lymph moves through lymph nodes, it:
🔹Stimulates immune activity
🔹Supports lymphocyte production
🔹Assists the body’s natural defence processes

🤎Nervous System
LDT has a strong regulating effect:
🔹Reduces sympathetic (stress) response
🔹Encourages parasympathetic (rest + repair) state
🔹Can reduce pain and muscle tension

To support your body:
🔹Hydrate well (water or natural fluids) in the days leading up
🔹Eat light on the day (fresh, simple foods where possible)
🔹Avoid heavy meals right before
🔹If having facial work (Glymphatic) → come with little to no makeup

⚠️ When LDT may not be suitable (Contraindications)
Please avoid or seek medical guidance if you have:
🔹Acute infection or fever
🔹circulatory conditions
🔹Major cardiac conditions (increased load on the heart)
🔹Active bleeding (haemorrhage)
🔹Acute anuresis (lack of urine production)
🔹Active cancer not under medical management
🔹Certain cases of lymphedema or risk of developing it

⚠️ Precautions (please discuss before your session)
Let your practitioner know if you have:
🔹Thyroid conditions
🔹Carotid stenosis
🔹Asthma or allergies
🔹Burns, fresh scars, bruising, eczema
🔹Recent surgery or abdominal treatment/radiation

Before & after — one session ✨

We often start by looking at the body…
range of motion, how someone moves, and what feels easy or restricted.

Because the way we move can tell us a lot about how the nervous system is functioning.

Sometimes we work more emotionally, sometimes more structurally, but usually it’s a bit of both.

In this clip, you can see the shift…
less rigidity, smoother coordination, and easier movement.

This client said she could feel a big difference, movement felt easier, took less effort, and there was also less pain through the scapula, which was a big focus of the session.

We’re using a marching pattern here, which taps into cross-body movement and the way the brain and body communicate.

Side note for the mummas: this is one of the reasons crawling is so important for babies. It helps build those early foundational patterns. Not crawling doesn’t mean something is wrong, but it can mean those early patterns weren’t reinforced in the same way — which can show up later in coordination, balance, and how the nervous system organises movement.
