This past week I spent 3 days in Melbourne learning how to prepare the pregnant patient for birth! 🤰👶
Women’s health (and in particular working with pregnant and postpartum women) is one of my favourite areas of practice, especially since I had my own children. It is so rewarding and an incredible privilege for me to be able to walk this journey with a woman and help her to have a positive birth experience.
We learned assessment techniques for the pelvic floor and the whole body, hands-on treatment techniques, exercises to improve movement in the pelvis and throughout the body, active birthing positions, pain management strategies and so much more. All up it was 31 hours of both online and face to face content - I’ve been a busy little bee! 🐝
Huge thanks to Pelvic health institute of AU for organising this incredible course and for a wonderful weekend of learning! 🤓
