Jude brings an incredible and diverse background to our clinic. From her early days as a Laboratory Technician in Genetics at the University of Adelaide to managing regional blood donation sites and major donor groups (including Defence) with the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, Jude’s career has always been centered on precision, care, and community.

When she isn't helping clients take a proactive approach to their health, you can find Jude reading, enjoying the theatre, tending to her garden, or volunteering as an English teacher for newcomers to Australia.

At The House of Healing, we don’t just talk about health—we live it. Many of you know and love our Naturopath, Kelly Griffiths, who has been a cornerstone of our clinic family for over 14 years. Today, we are bursting with pride to share a massive challenge she’s taking on!

Kelly has been "roped in" (her words!) by her son, Axel, and his mates to lead their team—the affectionately named "Scrub Turkeys"—in the legendary Kokoda Challenge Gold Coast 2026.

🧬 Professional Expertise Meets the Trail
While Kelly is usually focused on her clinical practice, helping clients decode your DNA blueprints and fine-tuning individualised nutrition, she’s now taking those high-level principles to the hinterland.

She is using her 14+ years of clinical experience to guide the boys through:

Strategic Fueling: Teaching the team how to nourish their bodies for long-haul endurance and optimal recovery.

Bio-Individual Resilience: Applying her deep understanding of how the body responds to stress to keep the "Scrub Turkeys" moving.

👣 The Training So Far
This isn’t just a weekend stroll. The goal is 96km non-stop through the Gold Coast hinterland, navigating 4,000m of elevation gain in under 39 hours.

The team has already been putting in the work, including a 22km trek through the Border Ranges and a 12km climb at Minyon Falls in the pouring rain. Kelly is showing these boys that with the right mindset and physical preparation, no mountain is too high.

Kelly and the boys are raising funds specifically for the Kokoda Youth Foundation to support their life-changing youth programs. These programs provide local teenagers with the tools to build resilience, discipline, and community through outdoor adventure and mentorship.
