You’re probably not just ‘obsessed with food’ 🫶🏼

Constantly thinking about food is one of the lesser talked about signs of under fuelling but I know from personal experience just how ALL CONSUMING it can be.

I will admit, there was a period of my life where all I thought about was food:
🤍 planning my food for the day
🤍 counting down the hours until my next meal
🤍 HOURS upon hours of looking through cookbooks, recipe blogs and recipe sections of magazines that I’d collect and save

I thought I just really loved food and was super embarrassed about this…turns out it wasn’t just me loving food, it was a symptom of an under-fuelled and under-nourished brain 🥹

When you’re actually eating enough, suddenly your brain is no longer constantly focused on searching for more food, and you have capacity to think about other things again (which is SO freeing!)❤️‍🔥🙌🏼

Can you relate to this?

Just checking in ❤️‍🔥

A little reminder that you can’t live a full live on an empty tank, and you won’t build a better body image by being a bully to yourself 🫶🏼

A fact, not just my opinion.

I’ve lived the consequences myself and I see them everyday in clinic. Both the short term and long term side effects of not eating enough ❤️‍🩹

Under-fuelling leads to:
• Constant fatigue
• Impaired bone mineral density
• Risk of osteoporosis
• Increased risk of injuries, especially bone stress injuries
• Irregular or absent periods
• Risk to fertility
• Mental health implications, like increased symptoms of depression and anxiety
• Poor sleep
• Decreased digestive function
• Risk of nutritional deficiency

And that’s not even touching on the effects on performance, and overall day to day quality of life because everything feels harder and more exhausting when you’re under fuelled 🥺🫶🏼

Including some processed foods, sugar and seed oils to help you meet your overall energy and nutritional needs and fuel training properly is not a risk to health. Under-fuelling IS.

Wraps are truly one of the most underrated lunches 🤩👏🏼

Easy, versatile, and can make such a filling, balanced and fuelling meal ✅

I recently discovered Simson's Pantry high protein wraps which are not only the PERFECT size to make an actually filling wrap, but also provide 20g protein in the wrap itself.

Great for plant based athletes to easily hit their protein needs!

Here are 5 delicious and fuelling filling ideas to save for your next lunch ❤️‍🔥🌱
