Following our Annual General Meeting in April we would like to introduce you to a returning Board member, Robyn McCreanor.

Robyn is a Koori woman from Mutawintji Country who has lived in Manjimup since 1992. She is a proud mother of two and grandmother of three, and is currently caring for two of her grandchildren. Her strong connection to family and community continues to guide her work and commitment to supporting local people.

Robyn has been actively involved in the Manjimup community for many years. She worked with Manjimup Aboriginal Corporation, now Walgenup WAC, including four years as a Heritage Officer. She also worked as a playgroup leader at the Manjimup Family Centre, where she established the region’s first Indigenous playgroup.

Her experience includes three years as the Community Indigenous Officer at the Shire of Manjimup, and working at the Warren Blackwood Emergency Accommodation Centre supporting parents and children in crisis, where she developed and delivered an Indigenous Protective Behaviours Program.

Robyn brings a decade of experience as a Director of the South West Aboriginal Medical Service (SWAMS) Board and has recently returned as a Board member following the April 2026 AGM. She is also a current Director of Walgenup WAC and remains actively involved in the Shire of Manjimup Reconciliation Committee, the School Indigenous Adviser Group, and the Manjimup Yarning Circle (Waangka Danjoo Nyininy) Project Group.

She currently works as an Education Assistant at East Manjimup Primary School and brings a strong understanding of culture, community and the importance of delivering culturally safe, community-informed services.

We look forward to introducing you to our other board members in the coming weeks.
