👋 A message from Dr James Luttrell

What an exciting new chapter!

Many of you will know me from Launceston Medical Centre, and I'm thrilled to now be welcoming both familiar and new faces at East Launceston Medical Centre, continuing the incredible legacy my father, Dr Chris Luttrell, built at Tremaur over more than 30 years.

I am proudly based at East Launceston Medical Centre and have plenty of availability, so come and see me! Book via HotDoc:

I'll still be at Launceston Medical Centre every Tuesday, but because it's just one day a week, my books there are heavily booked out several weeks ahead. For those wanting to see me sooner, East Launceston Medical Centre is the place to be! 😊

For the best continuity of care, I'd gently encourage patients to choose one practice as their home base. If staying at the Hub and seeing another doctor works better for your convenience, I completely understand and support that too.

Please join us in welcoming Dr Jane Dhann to ELMC, now consulting on Mondays and Fridays.

Dr Jane is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and graduated from both the University of Queensland and Griffith University.

She has a special interest in supporting patients who experience difficulties with communication and is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centred care.

Outside of work, Jane enjoys travelling with her family, gardening, and cooking.

A little bittersweet, but very exciting news for our Health Hub family 💙

After more than 30 years of caring for generations of local families, Tremaur Medical Centre, founded and led by Dr Chris Luttrell, will enter an exciting new chapter as East Launceston Medical Centre.

In a very special moment for the practice and local community, Dr Chris Luttrell will be passing the baton to his son, Dr James Luttrell, who will help lead the clinic into its next era while continuing the same strong focus on high-quality, community-based care.

East Launceston Medical Centre will proudly remain part of the Health Hub family, and we are thrilled to see the current Tremaur team joined by a number of fantastic new additions, including some very familiar faces to the Launceston medical community, as services continue to expand for local patients.

The good news for our Launceston Medical Centre patients - James isn’t going too far! He will still be consulting with us every Tuesday.

Our next introduction… Welcome Dr Cameron McClure to East Launceston Medical Centre!

We’re excited to welcome Dr Cameron McClure, Specialist General Practitioner (FRACGP), to the team at East Launceston Medical Centre, with more exciting introductions still to come!

Originally from Brisbane, Cameron completed his medical training at the University of Queensland before relocating to Tasmania in 2016. Since then, he has worked across both the Launceston General Hospital and community General Practice, providing high quality, patient centred care to the local community.

Cameron enjoys all areas of General Practice, with special interests in:
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Paediatrics
❤️ Chronic Disease Management
🚑 Urgent Care

He is passionate about delivering comprehensive care to individuals and families through every stage of life and feels privileged to support the Launceston community.

Outside of medicine, Cameron enjoys spending time with his wife and three young children and making the most of Tasmania’s incredible lifestyle.

First up, meet Dr Amanda Clifford, who will commence on 1 June 👋

Amanda is a Launceston local who is passionate about caring for her community and raising her own family in the region. She has special interests in women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics, and mental health, while enjoying all aspects of general practice.

Known for her warm and approachable style, Amanda values building long-term relationships with patients and their families - something that sits right at the heart of what we’re building at East Launceston Medical Centre.

Outside of work, Amanda and her husband Mitch are busy raising their three young children and enjoy beach days, family adventures, and walks with the family dog 🐾
