Happy Pride Month! 🌈

Today marks the beginning of Pride Month — a time to celebrate our communities, the progress we’ve made, and the freedom to live openly and authentically.

At a time when fear and hostility are increasingly being directed at LGBTIQ+ people, Pride reminds us why visibility, solidarity, and equality matter more than ever.

Wishing our communities a joyful, proud, and safe Pride Month. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Today is National Sorry Day.

On this significant day, we honour and acknowledge the Stolen Generations - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children who were forcibly removed from their families and communities.

This year’s theme, "From Sorry to Action," reflects expectations that governments take urgent steps to create tangible and measurable change within survivors’ lifetimes.

Today is a time to stand in solidarity with the Stolen Generations to ensure this day is part of an ongoing commitment to truth-telling, healing and justice.

Image description (alt text): A tile designed to resemble the Australian Aboriginal Flag, with a black top half and a red bottom half. At the top center, the First Peoples Disability Network logo appears inside a white rounded box. A large orange-yellow circle in the center, featuring subtle Aboriginal artwork patterns, contains bold white text that reads “NATIONAL SORRY DAY.” Below this, smaller white text reads “26 May 2026.”
