Our team has grown and we're looking for two wonderful administrative assistants to join our team.

This role suits someone who wants a break from study (or who has finished studying for the time being), and wants to use their knowledge and get some relevant experience.

This is a hybrid role, with a combination of in-person at our East Melbourne clinic and remote work. We're hoping to find the right people who are keen to join us full time for the medium to long term (ideally at least a couple of years).

We've also put together a short video of our admin team members sharing what they get out of working with us - have a watch here to see what the role's really like: https://www.cewbi.com.au/client-services-team

If this sounds like a good fit, please email your CV and a short cover letter to [email protected]

There's no formal closing date - we'll be reviewing applications as they come in.

Our client services and training support team sit at the centre of how CEWBI runs. You'd be booking clients, supporting our clinicians, and working with expert trainers who run eating disorder workshops throughout the year.

What might you be missing in your assessment of eating disorders? The assessment can be a turning point in eating disorder work.

This training is about the art and the science of doing an assessment well: structured enough to be rigorous, human enough to build engagement from the first conversation.

Presented by Matthew Flinders Distinguished Professor Tracey Wade, director of the Flinders University Services for Eating Disorders, co-author of three books on CBT for eating disorders and perfectionism, with more than 300 peer-reviewed publications.

Across the day, Tracey covers:

✅ A semi-structured assessment guide, alongside structured tools like the MINI and the Eating Disorder Examination
✅ Weaving motivational enhancement through the assessment itself
✅ What the evidence says about linking assessment to treatment outcomes
✅ Single-session interventions you can use while clients are still on the waitlist
✅ Where screening fits, and where it doesn't

Capped at 20. $495. Thursday 11 June 2026, 9am-4pm AEST, live via Zoom.

Body Dysmorphic Disorder training with Professor Susan Rossell, two days in June.

BDD is a distressing preoccupation with perceived flaws in appearance. It is more common than many clinicians expect, particularly in general practice and cosmetic settings, and is frequently missed or misdiagnosed as another condition.

Susan is Professor of Cognitive Neuropsychiatry at Swinburne University and sits on the NIMH International Body Dysmorphic Disorder Scientific Advisory Group. Internationally recognised for her work on BDD, she has advanced knowledge and helped transform outcomes in its diagnosis and treatment, and works with the media to improve public understanding.

Across the two days, Susan covers what BDD is and how to diagnose it, how it differs from related conditions and its common comorbidities, an overview of pharmacological and psychological treatments, the CBT approach for BDD, and building a multidisciplinary treatment plan.

An optional half-day add-on, Cosmetic Surgery Assessment Training, runs on Friday 17 July for clinicians working alongside cosmetic and surgical services ($395).

Thursday 18 and Friday 19 June 2026, 9am-4pm AEST, live via Zoom. $895. Twenty places.

We are on the look out for a full-time Client Services / Admin team member!

Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to have some incredible psychology students join our admin team in between either undergrad and honours, or honours and masters. This role offers many opportunities - from learning the ins and outs of Medicare and intake processes, to developing practical skills around supporting clients, to helping coordinate Zoom-based training with eating disorder trainers from across Australia and the world! And of course, you’ll get to work closely with our wonderful and inspiring team of clinicians!

This is a full-time role, and very much suited to someone taking a study break who wants hands-on experience in a supportive, evidence-based team environment.

The role is hybrid - part work-from-home and part on-site at our East Melbourne clinic.

This NEDC-approved training counts toward the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential.

Ten-session CBT (CBT-T) is being adopted in services internationally as a structured, time-efficient approach for treating non-underweight eating disorders.

Next week, Professor Tracey Wade will present a two-day live online workshop exploring the CBT-T model, including treatment structure, nutritional and behavioural strategies, exposure-based work, body-image tasks and relapse planning. Clinicians will have the chance to see demonstrations and practise the model in small-group exercises.

9:00am - 4:00pm (AEST)

07/05/2026

When Gini McIntosh and her colleagues ran the first randomised controlled trial for anorexia nervosa, they developed Specialist Supportive Clinical Management as the comparison treatment - a structured approach reflecting high-quality routine specialist care. SSCM has since been tested in further trials with results comparable to CBT and IPT, and is now used as a first-line treatment for adult AN in eating disorder services across Australasia and internationally.

The model has two components working together: clinical management focused on weight restoration through normalised eating, and supportive psychotherapy targeting the issues the patient identifies as maintaining their illness.

Dr Virginia (Gini) McIntosh is a Clinical Psychologist at the University of Canterbury and one of the developers of SSCM. She led the original trial and has trained clinicians in the model across Australasia and internationally. This workshop covers the key therapeutic strategies, practical delivery tools, case material, and the distinctions between SSCM and other psychotherapy approaches for adult AN.

Two full days of live training - structured so you leave with a defensible model for adult anorexia presentations rather than another framework you've heard described.

14-15 May | 2 full days, 9am-4pm AEST | Live via Zoom | $895 | Limited to 20

Schema Therapy for Eating Disorders - 4 Evening Sessions.

When your client's eating disorder is entangled with entrenched core beliefs, self-critical patterns, and coping modes that keep them stuck, schema therapy offers a way in.

This training focuses on applying schema therapy techniques specifically to eating disorder presentations and comorbidity. You'll get practical experience with imagery rescripting, chair work, working with vulnerable child modes, and setting limits on the punitive inner critic patterns that drive eating disorder behaviours. Videos and live demonstrations are used throughout.

It's run as four evening sessions across two weeks, so you can attend without taking days out of your caseload.

Presented by Dr Susan Simpson - a Clinical Psychologist with 20+ years of experience using schema therapy with complex comorbidity, and co-author of Schema Therapy for Eating Disorders (Routledge, 2019).
