This NEDC-approved training counts toward the ANZAED Eating Disorder Credential.

Ten-session CBT (CBT-T) is being adopted in services internationally as a structured, time-efficient approach for treating non-underweight eating disorders.

Next week, Professor Tracey Wade will present a two-day live online workshop exploring the CBT-T model, including treatment structure, nutritional and behavioural strategies, exposure-based work, body-image tasks and relapse planning. Clinicians will have the chance to see demonstrations and practise the model in small-group exercises.

Shame and self-criticism can sit underneath a lot of eating disorder presentations. Identifying that in a formulation is one thing. Having a structured way to treat it is another.

Compassion Focused Therapy gives you a formulation that maps the maintaining mechanisms, and a set of strategies you can take into your next session.

Presented by Dr Inge Gnatt, lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology. Inge's PhD developed a user-informed adaptation of a CFT group intervention for eating disorder and trauma symptoms.

Across the day, Inge covers:
✅ The theoretical foundations of CFT and its relevance to eating and body image concerns
✅ Formulating eating disorder presentations through a CFT lens, including shame, self-criticism, threat sensitivity and emotion regulation difficulties
✅ Compassion-focused strategies across individual, group, online and face-to-face settings
✅ Simulated case examples, plus formulation tools and clinical language you can use straight away

Tuesday 18 August 2026 | 10:00am - 5:00pm AEST | Live via Zoom | 6 CPD hours | $495

Many clients arrive in our clinic rooms while engaged with medically assisted weight loss such as GLP-1 or bariatric surgery. Very few models exist for what to do next.

HAPIFED integrates CBT-E with physical health care for people with an eating disorder at a higher weight. The training covers key modifications and extensions to CBT-E, including intuitive eating and hunger-satiety regulation, activity therapy, nutritional counselling at a higher weight, the importance of language, and the psychotherapist's role within a multidisciplinary team. In the randomised controlled trial, the integrated approach produced the same improvements in eating disorder symptoms and psychological health as CBT-E alone, with no adverse psychological effects.

Presented by Professor Phillipa Hay, FRANZCP, MD, DPhil, FAED, academic psychiatrist, lead researcher on the HAPIFED randomised controlled trial, founding co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Eating Disorders, and author of over 400 peer-reviewed publications and National Eating Disorder Collaboration Steering Committee Chair.

Delivered in one focused day, designed for clinicians already trained in CBT-E.

Friday 31 July 2026 | 8:30am-3:00pm AEST | Live via Zoom | $495 | 6 CPD Hours

Our team has grown and we're looking for two wonderful administrative assistants to join our team.

This role suits someone who wants a break from study (or who has finished studying for the time being), and wants to use their knowledge and get some relevant experience.

This is a hybrid role, with a combination of in-person at our East Melbourne clinic and remote work. We're hoping to find the right people who are keen to join us full time for the medium to long term (ideally at least a couple of years).

We've also put together a short video of our admin team members sharing what they get out of working with us - have a watch here to see what the role's really like: https://www.cewbi.com.au/client-services-team

If this sounds like a good fit, please email your CV and a short cover letter to [email protected]

There's no formal closing date - we'll be reviewing applications as they come in.

Email applications to: [email protected]

Our client services and training support team sit at the centre of how CEWBI runs. You'd be booking clients, supporting our clinicians, and working with expert trainers who run eating disorder workshops throughout the year.

What might you be missing in your assessment of eating disorders? The assessment can be a turning point in eating disorder work.

This training is about the art and the science of doing an assessment well: structured enough to be rigorous, human enough to build engagement from the first conversation.

Presented by Matthew Flinders Distinguished Professor Tracey Wade, director of the Flinders University Services for Eating Disorders, co-author of three books on CBT for eating disorders and perfectionism, with more than 300 peer-reviewed publications.

Across the day, Tracey covers:

✅ A semi-structured assessment guide, alongside structured tools like the MINI and the Eating Disorder Examination
✅ Weaving motivational enhancement through the assessment itself
✅ What the evidence says about linking assessment to treatment outcomes
✅ Single-session interventions you can use while clients are still on the waitlist
✅ Where screening fits, and where it doesn't

Capped at 20. $495. Thursday 11 June 2026, 9am-4pm AEST, live via Zoom.
