Those involved in palliative care are all too familiar with the effect that cancer can have on people’s lives. 2026 marks 40 years of Daffodil Day. As the first flower to bloom after a cold winter, the daffodil is the international symbol of hope for people affected by cancer. Cancer Council Victoria (CCV) has set up an online ‘Tribute Garden’, a space for people to honour a loved one, someone who has provided support, or someone who is on the cancer journey.
CCV are a member of the Victorian Palliative Care Alliance, a group of 15 non-profit organisations with touch points across palliative care who have come together to support palliative care advocacy, as part of PCV’s Calls to Action for the 2026 State Election, Tomorrow’s Care Starts Today!
