"I'm fine." We say it to our boss, our mates, our family, sometimes even to ourselves. It's easy, it's quick, and it gets us through the conversation. But it isn't always true.

This World Mental Health Day, we're asking you to notice those moments. Next time someone tells you they're fine, ask again, and mean it. And if you're the one saying it when you're not, that's okay too. You don't have to have it all figured out to reach out.

At Holistic Recovery, our support workers help with the everyday things that get hard when your mental health is struggling. That might mean getting the shopping done, making it to appointments, or just having someone there on a tough day.

Creating safer spaces for children

At Holistic Recovery, we’re strengthening our commitment to creating environments where every child feels safe, respected, heard and supported.

We are currently working to strengthen our Child Safe Standards and close the gaps in our policies, practices and everyday ways of working. This means continuing to listen, learn and improve so that child safety is embedded across our organisation, not simply treated as a policy on paper.

For us, being child safe means:

* Putting the safety and wellbeing of children at the centre of what we do
* Creating safe and inclusive environments where children can speak up
* Ensuring our team understands their responsibilities around child safety
* Strengthening our processes, policies and reporting pathways
* Listening to children, families and our community
* Continuously identifying and closing gaps in our practice

🏡 FEMALE-ONLY SIL VACANCY

We have a vacancy for a female participant to join a shared home with two current housemates, both women under 30.

The home is a modern, 4-bedroom house with 24/7 support at a 1:3 ratio. There are two bathrooms and generous shared living areas, plus an outdoor space.

Support is built around each person's own goals, choices, and independence.

We're looking for someone who'd like to share a home, build friendships, and be part of the local community, not just fill a spare room.
