Congratulations to The Beacon Truck – Tamworth on being recognised for the incredible work you do in our community. We are proud to support such a meaningful initiative that continues to make a real difference for people experiencing hardship and homelessness across the Tamworth region.

A big congratulations to all the dedicated volunteers, local businesses, and individuals who generously give their time, resources, and support to make this possible. Your compassion and commitment are helping create a stronger and more connected community.

We are incredibly honoured and proud to share that The Beacon Truck - has been announced as the Volunteer Team of the Year 2026 by Tamworth Regional Council during National Volunteer Week.

It was such a wonderful morning spent celebrating alongside the many amazing volunteers who help make Tamworth such a caring and compassionate community. With approximately 5,000 volunteers contributing across our region, it was inspiring to recognise the people who dedicate their time and hearts to supporting others every day. Thank you for organising wonderful event and recognition to all volunteers in Tamworth by My TRC Volunteer Connect.

Over the past 12 months, The Beacon Truck volunteer team has proudly contributed nearly 2,000 hours of volunteering, helping distribute more than 3,500 meals and over 1,500 essential items including clothing, toiletries, and food to people in our community doing it tough and experiencing homelessness.

What started as a simple vision — creating a space where anyone could have a seat at the table, share a meal, feel seen, and experience kindness from their community — has grown into something incredibly meaningful.

This recognition belongs to every volunteer who has shown up with compassion, warmth, and a genuine desire to help others. Your efforts are creating real impact in the lives of many people across our community. We also recognise our own Rob Carn was finalist in Volunteer of the Year.

Thank you to Tamworth Regional Council, our volunteers, supporters, donors, and the wider community for believing in this initiative and helping us continue this important work.

Role Model of the Month: Kaleb 🌟

This month, we’re proud to recognise Kaleb as our Role Model Employee — someone who has already made a positive impact through his enthusiasm, dedication, and willingness to support others.

Kaleb has joined the team recently and hit the ground running! He is a valuable member of the team who is flexible, empathetic and shows great initiative.

Kaleb never denies a challenge. He has shown enthusiasm and charisma since he started. His cheerful presence naturally lifts the mood in the room... nothing is too hard and he is happy to give anything a go.

Since joining Holistic Recovery, Kaleb has continued to bring positivity, teamwork, and genuine care into the workplace each day. We’re proud to have him on the team and excited to see his continued growth ahead ✨

WOW… YOU’VE BEEN AMAZING!

Our Beacon Truck volunteers recently rolled up their sleeves and organised the shed and van — and thanks to the incredible support from our community, we now have PLENTY of clothing donations to sort through.

So for now…

WE ARE TAKING A SHORT PAUSE ON ACCEPTING CLOTHING DONATIONS.

This is actually a beautiful problem to have, and we are so grateful for every donation, every share, every conversation, and every act of kindness shown to our community.

We just need a little time to sort, organise, and make sure everything gets to the people who need it most.

Thank you for continuing to support Beacon Truck and helping keep hope alive in our community.

We’ll keep everyone updated when we’re ready to accept clothing donations again.
