Bowen Therapy and Reflexology can assist with many health issues. Bowen Therapy can assist in resolving pelvic misalignment, neck/back pain, sciatica, migraines/headaches, stress/anxiety, lethargy, osgood schlatters (growing pains) in children, reflux/sleep issues in babies, fibromyalgia, etc. Bowen Therapy is a form of body work in which the practitioner places cross fibre moves on fascia (connec
tive tissue), impacting on all the structures surrounding this fascia. Dayna is able to apply varying degrees of pressure during these moves, which caters for all levels of pain thresholds clients may have. The client remains fully clothed during the session. Please ensure you attend your session well hydrated, as Bowen Therapy moves are rehydrating fascia. Hydration plays a huge role in the whole Bowen Therapy process. Reflexology is a form of therapy primarily executed on the feet. There is also hand, face and ear reflexology, however Dayna works on the feet as the feet represent 'moving forward in life'. For this reason, Reflexology can be helpful not only for physical issues, but also emotional issues where there is a 'blockage' which is hampering the persons ability to move forward and stop procrastinating!. Reflexology can also assist in resolving headaches/migraines, neck/back pain, stress, anxiety, depression, emotional distress/crisis, etc. The aim of a Reflexologist is to bring the body back to balance, by 'working' on all the reflexes on the feet that represent the whole body. The belief is, that if the body is in balance, it has the ability to be at 'ease' rather than at 'dis-ease'. If the body is at 'ease', it has the ability to function normally, without energy blockages affecting balance. In your first consultation, Dayna provides personalised service involving a comprehensive discussion on health issues and how to obtain the best results from your Bowen Therapy or Reflexology session. Due to the time spent in the first consult on this, Dayna only has sufficient time to provide either Bowen Therapy or Reflexology. However, Dayna is happy to combine the two therapies in any furture session at no extra charge. Please note that you are welcome to have either one of the therapies on their own, should both not interest you. Cost:
Adult - Initial consult/1 hour Repeat session - $80
- 30 minute Bowen Session only - $60
Child - Initial consult - $55 (allow an hour, however generally 30-45 minutes)
- 30 minute repeat - $45
Private Health fund rebates are available with most funds, you will need to check the level of cover your fund requires you to have to be eligible to claim. (Please note, most health funds will recognise me for Reflexology - to claim under this therapy, some Reflexology will need to be incorporated into the session).
