From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to the incredible community that supports us, every patient, every review, every referral. This isn't just our win, it's yours too.

It’s official — Thrive has won the Gold Coast Business Awards for Outstanding Health Improvement Services! 🏆

Honestly, the first thing we thought about wasn’t the award itself, it was you.

Every patient who’s trusted us with their care, every review left, every friend or family member referred to us. That’s what actually gets a clinic noticed and recognised like this.

This isn’t really about a trophy. It’s a reflection of the community we’ve been lucky enough to build here, and we don’t take that lightly.

Thank you, genuinely. This one’s as much yours as it is ours. 💚

Mobility, pain levels, overall wellbeing — Kristy's review touches on all three, and that's usually how real progress shows up. Not one dramatic fix, but steady improvement across the things that actually affect day-to-day life.

That's the kind of change Dr Dave looks for with every patient — not just less pain in the moment, but better movement and function that holds up over time.

If you've been sitting with a mobility or pain issue that's been slowly wearing you down, it might be worth finding out what's actually driving it.

Nutrition plays a bigger role in nervous system function than most people realise. There are so many different stresses that affect the nervous system, and one of them is chemical, and that’s exactly what we get through diet.

If you’re eating packaged foods rather than whole foods, you’re inflaming your gut, which then inflames your nervous system, putting your body in a state of stress whether you feel it or not.

Understanding what you’re eating (and when) gives us real insight into how much stress your nervous system might actually be under. 💚

We often assume the source of pain is exactly where we feel it. But the body doesn't work in isolation, a hip or pelvic dysfunction can disrupt your posture, which affects your shoulder position, which then shows up as shoulder pain that never seems to go away.

That's why treating just the sore spot doesn't always work. Real, lasting relief comes from understanding the whole picture, not just chasing the symptom.

You’re an athlete with a recurring injury, and no matter what you try, it’s not getting better. Here’s why. 👀

There are four core integrities in the body, your ankle, your hips and pelvis, your trunk, and your scapula, and each one depends on the others doing their job. If one fails, another has to pick up the load.

So a recurring shoulder injury might not actually start at the shoulder. A hip or pelvic dysfunction can disrupt your posture, which affects your shoulder blade position, which then affects your shoulder’s performance.

“My shoulder’s sore, so the problem must be in my shoulder”, it’s not always that simple. We need to look at the bigger picture of how the body actually functions. 💚

Reviews like this one make our day.

Tom's note captures something we hear a lot, it's not just about the adjustment, it's the whole experience. A clinic that feels warm and easy to walk into, and a practitioner who's actually invested in your long-term health, not just fixing today's niggle.

That's the standard Dr Dave holds for every patient who comes through the door, whether it's a first visit or someone who's been coming for years.

If you're after that same kind of local, quality care, we'd love to have you in.

It’s easy to assume something’s structurally wrong, or that your back is just “weak.” But recurring pain is often less about ongoing damage, and more about a nervous system that’s stayed sensitised to that area.

Once you’ve injured a part of your body, your nervous system can keep it on high alert, even after the tissue itself has healed. So certain movements, stress, or fatigue can flare it back up, not because you’ve re-injured anything, but because the alarm system is still switched on.

So if your back pain keeps flaring up, it’s not that your back keeps breaking. It’s that your nervous system hasn’t fully stood down, and that’s something we can actually work with. 💚

We see this a lot, someone gets some short-term relief, feels better for a bit, and then the same issue shows up again a few months later.

That's not because the treatment didn't work. It's because it was treating the symptom, not the reason the symptom was there in the first place.

At Thrive, the first visit is about figuring out what's actually driving the problem, not just calming it down for now. Sometimes that means chiro, sometimes physio, sometimes a combination, whatever the actual issue calls for.

If you've been getting the same pain sorted out over and over without it sticking, it might be worth finding out why.

This is the kind of update we love seeing.

Sala came to us after injuring the discs in her back, the kind of injury that makes you wonder if things will ever feel normal again. Dr Dave worked with her to set realistic expectations from day one, and stuck with her through the harder stretches of recovery, not just the easy wins.

This is what we mean when we say the plan matters as much as the treatment. Real progress on something like a disc injury doesn't happen by accident, it comes from the right support, applied consistently, over time.

If you're dealing with something similar and aren't sure what recovery could actually look like for you, that's exactly the kind of conversation Dr Dave has every day.
