The Royal Adelaide Show is an exciting experience, but it can also be busy, noisy and overwhelming for some people. A little planning can help create a more enjoyable day.

💙 Top tips for a sensory-friendly visit:
🤫 Visit during Quiet Hours – Selected carnival sessions reduce loud music and flashing lights to create a more sensory-friendly environment.
🧩 Know where to take a break – The SACARE Carers Lounge in the Vili's Dog Pavilion offers a quiet retreat, an interactive sensory room and an Adult Change Facility.
🐑 Find calmer spaces – The livestock pavilions are often a quieter place to take a break while enjoying the animals.
💬 Use available supports – Autism SA Communication Boards are located throughout the Showgrounds to assist with communication and navigation.
💧 Stay comfortable – Bring a water bottle, make use of the free refill stations, and don't forget to schedule regular rest breaks throughout the day.

Every person's experience is different, so plan a day that works for you or the person you're supporting. Taking breaks, allowing extra time and knowing where support is available can make all the difference.
