I've seen how the sun descends dropping into the underworld, into the dark Earth, she waits hidden from view.

Beyond the horizon of our awareness her radiance moves inward.

And yet she generously gifts the moon, who reflects her light a new quality emerges, golden radiance becomes shining silver.

Perhaps a message to remember; she truly never left.

Her essence is retained in the ongoing rhythmic cycles that move through the night sky and move us all, through the living waters present in our bodies.

We are connected to her essence which endures beyond time.

I noticed lady death appearing in the treatment room about a year ago. I could feel her walking nearby not as a threatening presence,
but as a promise.

Things end.
Perpetual cycles end.
We have the power to transform.

In NZ Hine nui te po is our goddess of the underworld, she does not allow humans to be immortal.
She teaches us to treasure life.

The dark goddesses remember how to transform, despair, grief and rage Hine nui te po turns and descends into the underworld by choice.
She sits silent and still waiting in the darkness of 'te po'.

All creation arises from the dark.

This is the time to enter 'te po' to be in the dark to welcome what is not always welcomed by the world.
To hold your hurt as an alchemists flame to be honoured and safe guarded that it may unveil the seeds of wisdom.
