National Stroke Week may be coming to an end, but protecting your health is a lifelong commitment.

This week we've shared simple habits that can significantly reduce your risk of stroke:

✔️ Stay physically active
✔️ Keep your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar under control
✔️ Don't smoke
✔️ Limit alcohol
✔️ Have regular health checks
✔️ Look after your heart health

Just as importantly, know the signs of stroke and act FAST.

F – Face: Has one side of the face drooped?
A – Arms: Can they lift both arms?
S – Speech: Is their speech slurred or difficult to understand?
T – Time: Call 000 immediately.

Every minute counts during a stroke. Acting quickly can save a life and dramatically improve recovery.
