The voice in your head isn't you.
It learned to keep you 'safe' by pointing out every risk.
Naming it changes the relationship.
Try this: when the Critic says something, name it - "Thats the Critic again" - then offer one small, true reply, something like "I'm doing my best". Say it once. Feel it. That small step opens up space.
It's small and seems simple, but if you've spent your life listening to a very unkind inner critic, it can take a long time before it softens and is silenced. Go gently with yourself. Even just the act of noticing the thought is a big step towards shifting it if speaking back to it in this way feels too overwhelming or inaccessible.
