This is what Beat It looks like in action. 💪

Over 8 weeks, our participants come in, get moving, and put in the work across resistance training, aerobic exercise, and the support of an accredited exercise physiologist every step of the way.

The NDSS funds this program because the evidence is clear. Exercise delivers real results for people living with diabetes. Better glucose management, more energy, greater strength, improved confidence, and a better quality of life.

Cold weather does more than make you want to stay on the couch. For people managing chronic conditions, winter can quietly make things harder with lowered activity levels and joint pain and stiffness flaring up in the cold.

Consistent, structured exercise is one of the best things you can do to counter all of the above.

An exercise physiologist can prescribe a program that accounts for your health history, your capacity, and what you're dealing with. Because 'just go for a walk' isn't always helpful advice.
