A wonderful day of friendship, community and support for a cause close to many 💛

Through this event we support our partners in care with proceeds from the daffodils purchased at Renato's Florist go to GV Health Foundation to support oncology services for people across our region 🌼

New Head Chef
On the 7th August we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day, our Catering team went above and beyond in preparing a wonderful selection of food and refreshments for staff to enjoy.

We would also like to acknowledge Laura Mawson, who recently stepped into the role of Head Chef. Laura has already demonstrated strong leadership and commitment, and we look forward to seeing her continue to guide and support this exceptional team as they provide nutritious, enjoyable, and high-quality meals for our residents.

A heartfelt thank you to our entire Catering team.

One of the highlights has been welcoming children back into our home.

The COVID years changed many opportunities for generations to connect, making these visits even more meaningful. This week, our halls were filled with colour, creativity and imagination as local children from St John's Primary School arrived dressed for Book Week, bringing smiles and stories to share with residents.

These moments remind us just how powerful intergenerational connections can be, enriching lives, building friendships and strengthening our community 💙

AGED CARE EMPLOYEE DAY
GraniteHill recently celebrated Aged Care Employee Day. We are fortunate to have such a talented and caring workforce, including our nurses, educators, quality team, clinical care workers, kitchen team, cleaning team, maintenance staff, allied health professionals, and administration team.
To mark the occasion, residents and their families were invited to share messages of appreciation, acknowledging the care, compassion, and support provided by our team. The heartfelt messages received were shared with both staff and residents during an afternoon tea celebration on the 7th August.

Below is a personal letter received from a family of a departed resident. It demonstrates the great work staff do every single day:

THANKYOU, THANKYOU, THANKYOU for your lovely care of our mum.
Throughout her 6.5 years of calling GraniteHill home, she was happy, content and felt safe. Euroa is so lucky to have such an incredible Aged Care facility with staff that truly care and want only the best for their residents. We could not have asked for a better home for mum. It gave us great peace of mind. She felt loved by everyone. We are forever in your debt!

Happy Aged Care Employee Day! 💙

Today, we celebrate and thank our incredible team for the care, compassion, and dedication they bring to our residents every day.

As Aged Care Manager Melissa Langdon shared, “Working in aged care is not a job that just anyone can do. It requires compassion, deep personal empathy, patience, resilience, flexibility, and teamwork.” Whether supporting residents directly or working behind the scenes, every team member plays an essential role in helping make our home a place where residents feel safe, respected, and valued.

To mark the occasion, residents and their families were invited to share messages of appreciation for our staff. These heartfelt messages were shared during a special afternoon tea celebration, recognising the kindness, support, and genuine care our team provides every day.

Thank you for making a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Lifestyle Team Member Jess uses art therapy to help residents connect, express themselves, and celebrate their abilities. During a recent session, Roma became deeply engaged while creating artwork with textured materials such as seashells and buttons. Art therapy supports imagination, muscle memory, and problem-solving skills while reducing anxiety and social isolation, fostering a calm and positive environment.
Thank you Jess, for the creativity and dedication you bring to residents through these meaningful sessions.
