We’re currently bringing the Ananda Wellness Sri Lanka Studio to life in the heart of Colombo 7.

Created as a space for our Sri Lankan community to slow down, reconnect and be supported, the studio will offer yoga, meditation, counselling & psychotherapy, creating a welcoming environment where wellbeing comes first.

As Ananda Wellness continues to grow, Niveen will be spending time between Sri Lanka and Australia, allowing us to support our communities in both countries.

For our Australian community, Ananda Wellness will continue to operate as it always has. Counselling services, Ayurvedic treatments, workshops and wellbeing programs will remain available and our team will continue to support you with the same care and dedication.

We’re looking forward to opening our doors on 15 August and welcoming you into this new chapter of Ananda Wellness.

If you’d like to learn more about our Sri Lanka studio or the services we’ll be offering, we’d love to hear from you.

Leave a comment below or send us a message. We’re always happy to help. 🤍

In a world that often moves quickly, creating space for reflection can be a powerful practice.

Our weekly online meditation and philosophy class offers an opportunity to explore the teachings of the Yoga Sutras through breathwork, mindfulness, meditation and group discussion. Together, we reflect on the Yamas and Niyamas and how these timeless teachings can support the way we relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.

Each class invites contemplation both on and off the mat, encouraging the practical application of yogic philosophy in everyday life.

Open to both beginners and experienced practitioners, these sessions are designed to be welcoming and accessible. You are welcome to attend regularly or join when you feel called to, with gentle guidance and recaps provided along the way.

$20 per class | 1-hour guided session 🌿

For a long time, I’ve wanted to create a space for conversations that extend beyond the counselling room.

Conversations about psychology, Ayurveda, relationships, mindfulness, nervous system health, and the questions so many of us quietly ask ourselves as we move through life.

So, I’m finally doing it.

I’m excited to introduce The Modern Human — a new series exploring what it really means to live well in today’s world.

Each episode will draw on my experience as an Integrative Mental Health Practitioner, together with insights from ancient wisdom, modern science, and the privilege of sitting with people from all walks of life across Australia and Sri Lanka.

This isn’t about quick fixes or finding the next thing to chase.

It’s an invitation to slow down, reflect, ask better questions, and perhaps see ourselves a little differently.

The trailer is now live, and Episode One will be coming very soon.

I’d love for you to follow along, join the conversation, and let me know what topics you’d like to explore together.

Welcome to The Modern Human.

As we move through winter, it is common to experience the occasional cold, flu or feeling of being run down.

In Ayurveda, winter is a time to pay a little more attention to nourishment, rest and the simple daily practices that help support balance and wellbeing. Small adjustments to our diet, routines and lifestyle can go a long way in supporting the body through the colder months.

We’ve shared some Ayurvedic practices to help support immunity this winter, along with a Sri Lankan herbal remedy called Paspanguwa - a warming blend enjoyed in many Sri Lankan homes for generations.

If you’re feeling under the weather, try our simple Paspanguwa recipe at home and discover this beautiful tradition for yourself.

Stay warm, stay nourished, and take gentle care this winter. 🌿

Last week we completed our 8-week Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) program.

Over the past eight weeks, participants have learned how to recognise unhelpful thinking patterns, respond differently to difficult emotions, and develop practical mindfulness skills to reduce stress, anxiety and the risk of depressive relapse. Through guided meditation, cognitive exercises and group reflection, they have built greater awareness, self-compassion and emotional resilience that can be carried into everyday life.

If you missed this intake, our next 8-week MBCT program begins in October 2026.

Places are intentionally kept small to create a supportive and interactive group experience. Expressions of interest are now open, and we invite you to join the waitlist by getting in touch with our team.

We look forward to welcoming our next group on this journey. 🌿
