Lately I’ve been really aware of how much time I spend in my head.
Meditating. Thinking. Connecting. Working spiritually. Holding space.
And somewhere along the way, I realised I’d stopped really listening to the physical body I live in every day.
I’ve had so much tension in my neck and shoulders for such a long time, but I just kept ignoring it and pushing through.
Today I finally decided to do something about it.
I went to the aquatic centre, sat in the sauna, soaked in the spa, and swam a few laps — and honestly, I forgot how good it feels to actually care for yourself physically.
By the end of it, I could move my neck properly again. I felt lighter. More grounded. More in myself.
And tonight? My body is definitely reminding me that it moved in ways it hasn’t for years 😂 I am sore and completely wrecked.
But I’m going back.
Because I think sometimes on a spiritual path we can become so focused on energy, awareness, growth, and connection that we forget our body is part of the journey too.
This body carries us through all of it.
And sometimes grounding looks less like a meditation… and more like water, movement, heat, stretching, rest, and finally listening to yourself.
So this is your reminder to love the skin you’re in a little more today 🤍
