Kids are often very good at finding their own pace with animals.
They’ll sit nearby, watch what the horse is doing, notice the little movements and decide for themselves when they’re ready to interact. That kind of space can be really useful in therapy, particularly for children who find lots of talking, questions or structure tiring.
Being around horses can support things like body awareness, patience, confidence and emotional regulation, while still giving kids room to be curious and enjoy themselves.
