Next Steps Information Evening

Are you wondering what comes after secondary school?

Interchange Outer East (IOE) is hosting a casual Next Steps Information Evening on Monday 6 July for young people with disability, their families and support networks.

The evening will provide an opportunity to learn about IOE's new programs and the supports available to help young people transition from secondary school to greater independence. We'll explore pathways to employment, further education, community participation and building the skills needed for adult life.

Whether you're just starting to think about the future or actively planning for life after school, we'd love to meet you, answer your questions and discuss how IOE can support your journey.

Recently our Boronia Hub hosted a Biggest Morning Tea - A Wonderful Biggest Morning Tea Success!

It was a joyful gathering of people from right across the agency last week when IOE hosted a Biggest Morning Tea at our Boronia Hub.

The tables were filled with a spectacular spread of homemade baked goods, and it was fantastic to see so many people come together to support a great cause.

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, a total of $250 was raised for the Cancer Council.

A big thank you to everyone who baked, donated, volunteered, and joined us for a cuppa. Well done to all involved!

IOE invites Dads and male carers of a child with disability to a day out @ the MCG to watch Richmond v North Melbourne. All children in the family are invited to come along and join in the fun. This is an opportunity for dads to spend some quality time with their children and connect with other dads in a supportive, fun environment. Catch the train in with the group from Ringwood station, or meet us there! Even if these are not your teams, come and support the underdogs - we'd love you to join us for a fun day out!

Join Associate Professor Wenn Lawson and Maree Crabbe – developers of the ‘Porn Is Not the Norm’ initiative, to discuss how to best support our autistic young people in navigating their relationships and sexuality, with a focus on the impact of po*******hy.

School Holiday Sessions Available

Sessions are held at Knox Leisure Works 35 Tormore Rd, Boronia VIC 3155
Aquatic OT is a fun and engaging way for young people to develop gross and fine motor skills, improve planning abilities, and support sensory processing. The water environment encourages participation and makes therapy enjoyable, helping kids learn, grow, and build confidence while having fun in the pool.

New families will be contacted to arrange an initial assessment to discuss your child’s needs, water skills, and goals, allowing us to tailor the session.
