We haven’t posted in a while. Thankfully life is returning to normal and we are able to enter hospitals to collect again. Thank you to all of our awesome clients for the tricky juggle it’s been coordinating collections and pickups 💜 We look forward to seeing your smiling faces on the regular now!

During this tumultuous time, we are still encapsulating and have amended pickup locations to hospital entryways/car parks or home collection from partners or support people.

If you have any concerns about organising pickup or delivery of your completed capsules, feel free to email or text to receive amended advice about handover of fresh placentas or completed capsules.

We are continuing to provide our service to our clients and want to reassure everyone that it’s business as usual, albeit with additional protective measures in place to minimise contact and exposure.

We hope everyone is coping with the additional stress and uncertainty during this time.

Why we recommend delayed cord clamping, except in an emergency. We see a lot of blood left behind in placentas where the cord is clamped immediately. (Via midwife.org)

We are always striving for excellence, and we have a new toy at the clinic! The autoclave that was just installed is amazing and much quicker than the one we had before. All of our equipment is individually sterilised in the autoclave, we use surgical scalpels and surgical scissors on your placenta and single-use items where possible. We also utilise biohazard disposal for all infectious waste.
It’s important to note that because the industry is unregulated, many operators in Australia use bleach to disinfect their equipment. We advocate for industry excellence and we are trained in pathology. We love fielding questions, ask away if there is anything you would like to know!
