🥗 The easiest meal you’ll make all week (and your future self will thank you)

This is one of those recipes that feels almost too simple to be worth it… until you realise:

✔ It takes 10 minutes
✔ Uses mostly cupboard/fridge staples
✔ Keeps you full without the slump
✔ Works for lunch, dinner, or next-day leftovers
✔ And actually makes you feel better after eating it (not heavier)

If your week is already busy, this is your “I still ate well” win.

🥙 Lemon Chickpea Crunch Salad (no cooking, just chopping)

Ingredients:
1 tin chickpeas (drained & rinsed)
1/2 cucumber, diced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 small red onion (optional, finely chopped)
Handful of feta (or skip if you prefer dairy-free)
Handful of spinach or mixed leaves
Olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt + pepper
Optional: paprika or cumin for a bit of warmth

Method:
Add chickpeas, cucumber, tomatoes, onion, and greens into a bowl
Crumble in feta if using
Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice
Season well, toss everything together
Eat straight away or keep in the fridge for a ready-to-grab meal

These are some of the most common signs I see that a woman’s nervous system is overloaded in midlife:

🥒 Green Glow Juice

Ingredients
1 cucumber
2 celery sticks
1 green apple
Handful of spinach
Juice of 1 lemon
Small piece of fresh ginger
Water and ice to blend

Method
Blend everything together until smooth. Add more water depending on how thick you like it.

Why this juice is supportive:

Cucumber and celery help support hydration.
Ginger can help soothe digestion and reduce bloating.
Spinach provides minerals that support energy and hormones.
Lemon helps support the liver and digestion.

One thing I hear from women all the time is:

“I’m eating well… so why do I still feel bloated?”

And honestly, it’s such an important question because bloating is not always about eating the “wrong” foods.

Sometimes it’s:

💙eating too quickly
💙constantly eating on the go
💙stress affecting digestion
💙low stomach acid
💙blood sugar imbalance
💙a nervous system that never fully relaxes

Your body needs to feel safe to digest properly.

Which is why you can eat a healthy meal but still end up uncomfortable, swollen or exhausted afterwards.

One simple thing to try today:

Before eating, take 3 slow deep breaths and sit down properly with your meal.

It sounds small, but this helps move the body out of stress mode and into a state where digestion can work much more effectively.

Small shifts like this can make a surprisingly big difference over time.
