ACHILLES PAIN HOLDING YOU BACK?
Pain or stiffness at the back of the heel can make walking, exercising and everyday activities difficult.
For mild Achilles pain, start with sensible home care:
✓ Gentle calf stretches
✓ Gradual calf-raise strengthening
✓ Reduce activities that aggravate the pain
✓ Allow adequate recovery time
If the pain isn’t improving, keeps returning, worsens or limits your walking, it may be time for professional help.
Biomedical Sports Podiatry can assess the cause of your Achilles pain and develop an individual treatment and strengthening plan to help you return to activity safely.

HEEL PAIN SLOWING YOU DOWN?
Heel pain can make those first steps in the morning—or simply getting through the day—uncomfortable.
For mild heel pain, you may have already tried:
Resting or reducing aggravating activities
Wearing supportive shoes instead of flat or unsupportive footwear
Gently stretching the calf and the bottom of the foot
Applying ice for 10–15 minutes
Rolling the foot over a frozen water bottle or massage ballUsing over-the-counter heel cushions or insoles
These home treatments may provide temporary relief, but they do not always address the underlying cause.
If your heel pain is persistent, worsening, repeatedly returning, or affecting your walking, work or exercise, it may be time to consult a professional.
At Biomedical Sports Podiatry, we assess how your feet and lower limbs move to identify factors contributing to your heel pain. Treatment may include:
🔹 Biomechanical and gait assessment
🔹 Footwear advice
🔹 Stretching and strengthening programs
🔹 Manual therapy and joint mobilisation
🔹 Shockwave therapy
🔹 Taping or customised foot orthoses, when appropriate

BURNING PAIN OR NUMBNESS IN THE FOREFOOT?
Feel like you’re walking on a pebble?
Getting burning, tingling, or sharp pain between your toes?
It could be a Morton’s Neuroma.
A Morton’s Neuroma is irritation and thickening of a nerve in the forefoot — commonly causing pain between the 3rd and 4th toes.
It often becomes worse in tight shoes, during walking, or after long periods on your feet.
At Biomedical Sports Podiatry we assess:
✔ Foot posture & biomechanics
✔ Pressure through the forefoot
✔ Footwear loading patterns
✔ Walking mechanics contributing to nerve irritation
Treatment may include:
• Footwear modification advice
• Offloading strategies
• Orthotic therapy
• Padding & pressure redistribution
• Biomechanical assessment
The earlier it’s treated, the better the outcome can be.
Don’t keep putting up with burning or nerve pain in your feet.

ANKLE PAIN THAT WON’T GO AWAY?
That sharp pain…
That constant ache…
That feeling your ankle just isn’t stable…
It’s often not just the ankle — it’s how your foot and lower limb are functioning.
At Biomedical Sports Podiatry, we assess:
✔ Foot posture & alignment
✔ Ankle stability & strength
✔ Walking & running mechanics
✔ The root cause — not just the symptoms
Most ankle pain comes from poor load distribution and movement patterns — not just a “weak ankle.”
