That’s a wrap on another fantastic conference!

On the weekend some of our Doctors team attended the Healthed conference! They had a great time exhibiting and met so many incredible healthcare professionals, leaders and organisations throughout the event.

It was such a valuable opportunity to have meaningful conversations, share more about how cmr supports healthcare teams across Australia and connect with people who are just as passionate about improving the future of Australian health as we are.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to say hello, we loved meeting you!

And shoutout to Dr Alpesh, the winner of our stand prize: a specialised training course of their choice plus $250 🎉

This Pride Month, every locum starting with cmr in June will receive one of our Pride lanyards, a symbol of belonging, visibility and support.

Because creating a happier healthcare workforce means creating a community where every person feels safe, respected and welcome to be themselves.

To our LGBTQIA+ healthcare professionals, candidates, clients and team members: you belong here, this month and always.

This National Reconciliation Week, we’re reflecting on what it means to be All In.

We understand the privilege and responsibility that comes with placing healthcare professionals into First Nations communities, where culture, connection and trust matter deeply.

That’s why last week, we were proud to partner with Red Dust as a matched giving partner for their Annual Giving Day, helping raise over $175,000 to back First Nations leadership, strengthen cultures, and continue creating opportunities led by mob, for mob.

Every dollar raised will continue to support Red Dust’s locally led remote community programs across the Northern Territory.

For us, reconciliation means listening first, showing up with respect, and continuing to learn from the communities we work alongside.

What does it mean to truly work with purpose? ❤️

For Dr Justine Cain, it meant taking her medical skills beyond the traditional career path and into communities facing some of the world's greatest healthcare challenges.

Justine shares her experiences working with Médecins Sans Frontières (or as many know it by, Doctors Without Borders) an independent humanitarian organisation providing medical care to people affected by conflict, disasters, healthcare exclusion and crises around the globe.

From supporting refugee communities in Lebanon to emergency responses in India, her story is a powerful reminder that medicine can take you far beyond hospital walls.

This conversation shines a light on the impact of working with purpose, embracing the unknown and using your skills to make a difference where it's needed most.

Did you know many of our recruiters have been in your shoes?

Before joining cmr, they worked as nurses, midwives and allied health professionals. They understand the shift work, the pressure, the career decisions and the moments that shape a healthcare career.

That means when you're discussing your next contract, career move or workplace challenge, you're speaking with someone who understands where you're coming from.

That shared experience helps us build meaningful relationships with the healthcare professionals we support and better understand what matters most to them.

Because community matters, wherever your placement takes you.

One of the best things about locum life is the opportunity to explore new places, meet new people and make a meaningful impact in communities across Australia. But we also know that being away from home can sometimes feel a little isolating.

That’s why we created our cmr Locum Social Club, a space where our locums can connect, organise catchups and build friendships along the way.

From a midwife dinner catch-up in regional NSW to reconnecting after a recent RANZCOG training session hosted by cmr, these moments are what community is all about. 🤝

Currently on placement with cmr? Join 'cmr Locum Social Club' on Facebook.

Today, your impact is doubled. 🖤💛❤️

Every donation made to Red Dust today will be matched dollar-for-dollar, helping create stronger futures for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and remote communities.

We place healthcare professionals in rural and remote communities across Australia every day. We see the strength, resilience and potential that exists within these communities, and we know that lasting change happens when local people are empowered to lead it.

That's why we're proud to support Red Dust Role Models and their community-led programs that create opportunity, strengthen culture and inspire the next generation.

✨ More opportunities for First Nations youth
🤝 More locally led programs
🌱 More pathways to employment, education and wellbeing

If you've been thinking about giving, today is the day. Every dollar donated will go twice as far.

Tap the link in our bio to support Matched Giving Day.

Together, we're placing people, connecting communities and helping create a healthier future for all.

Some places just stay with you 💙

For Nurse Charlotte, she says Broken Hill has been more than just a placement, it’s been a community. From being welcomed into the ICU with open arms, to building genuine connections with the team, this experience has been one of growth, learning and unforgettable moments.

And it didn’t stop at work… from sunset walks and coffee runs to trivia nights and pizza at the Big Red Chair, even dorm-style living turned into lifelong friendships. Just some of the incredible opportunities you can experience on a locum with cmr!
