Congratulations! This is great news!!!

Today, the Australian Government announced $455,000 in funding to improve the experience of autism assessment and diagnosis.

We are delighted to be partnering with Reframing Autism and the University of Melbourne Neurodiversity Project to contribute the expertise of Autistic psychologists to this national initiative.

As clinicians who conduct assessments and support individuals and families through the diagnostic process, and who have lived experience of neurodivergence ourselves, we are excited to help shape the next generation of affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive resources for Australia.

This opportunity reflects the growing recognition of the important role Autistic psychologists can play in shaping policy, practice, and systems change.

Clinical Naturopathy is coming to The Waratah Centre 🌱

Clinical Naturopathy is a holistic, root-cause approach to health — looking at the interconnection between your gut, hormones, nervous system, sleep, nutrition, and lifestyle to understand why you feel the way you feel, not just what to call it.

Whether you're navigating gut issues, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, mood, neurodivergent health, or just a persistent feeling that something's not quite right — naturopathy offers a space to slow down, dig deeper, and get some answers.

Jewel's waitlist is now open and free 15-minute discovery calls are available for anyone wondering if naturopathy is the right fit 🌿

✨ Sleep is one of the most powerful regulators of mood, hormones, digestion, immune function, and overall wellbeing and yet it’s often the first thing to become disrupted when life gets busy or stress is high.

This simple guide breaks down 5 foundational pillars our clinical naturopath often focuses on with clients: light exposure, temperature, routine, blue light, and blood sugar stability.

These may seem basic, but they directly influence your circadian rhythm, melatonin production, and nervous system regulation.

This is as an easy, practical starting point for anyone wanting to improve sleep quality without overcomplicating the process. Small, consistent changes can make a real difference over time.

If sleep has been feeling light, broken, or un-refreshing, it may be a sign your body needs deeper support not just better habits.

✨ Book an appointment for personalised naturopathic support, including tailored herbal medicine, targeted supplements, and individualised nutrition and lifestyle strategies to help restore healthy sleep patterns and overall wellbeing.

Gosh this was a scary, uncomfortable thing to do: no scripts, on the spot, and of course, very proud of The Waratah Centre. We are so excited to sponsor NACTA and LOAPAC at the conference in July.
If you are a professional and interested in Neurodiversity Affirming practice, this conference is for you. Professional-level information, ready to implement into practices across Australia. The full line-up has just been announced - so get cracking - only 15% of tickets are still available.

Caged Birds
For me, this was the most powerful moment of the entire three-day conference. As many of you know, I do not cry easily - in fact, there might be years where water doesn't leak from my eyes. But as this beautiful person, Kelsey, read this incredible poem aloud, the water just kept flowing.
I cried for the kids that I love and those that I work with. I cried for the grownups that are fiercely supporting them and are tired. I cried for the "grown-up little kids" who have tried so hard to be here and find their way in this "real world". I cried for myself and all the hard battles I've thrown myself battered against the cage - bloody and bruised, but I couldn't do it any other way.

Yellow Ladybugs please know that I am so thankful.
Once again crying when I usually can’t, laughing out loud and feeling a deep sense of ‘this is making a difference’. Thank you!!!!
