Mealtimes can sometimes feel like a battle. 🥞🍴

If your child avoids the fork, refuses the spoon, or can’t quite manage opening their own drink, you’re not doing anything wrong. These are skills, and skills need practice (just not always at the dinner table).

OT Cherlyn shows 3 easy ways to build them through play:
1️⃣ Coloured-strings = fork practice
2️⃣ Coloured-balls = spoon/scooping practice
3️⃣ Twirling toy = opening bottles & drinks

Little steps outside of mealtimes = less pressure on your little one during mealtimes.

It’s National Science Week, and Jacquelyn’s turning it into a kitchen experiment 🧪

Homemade Cloud Dough: 2 cups cornstarch, 1 cup conditioner, a few drops of food colouring. Mix, knead, play!

Kneading gives tactile input and build hand strength. Then the fun begins: beads, scissors, farm animals, all hidden in the cloud ☁️
