"Your bloods are normal."

But you're exhausted.
Your sleep is broken.
Your mood is flat.
You can't lose weight no matter what you do.
Your cycle is all over the place.
And you just don't feel like yourself.

Here's the thing ~ Standard blood tests check whether you're in crisis.
They are not designed to find the reason you feel this way.

There's a big gap between "normal" and optimal. And that gap is where most women are living.

When I work with clients I use targeted, functional testing, not the standard panel. We look at what's actually going on. Thyroid markers beyond TSH. Iron studies beyond basic ferritin. Hormones at the right time of the month. Nutrients that affect energy and mood.

You deserve answers. Not just reassurance.

I'm hosting a free webinar — Stress, Sleep & Sanity — and we're going to talk about exactly this.

Free. Online. Recording available if you can't join live.

Nobody really talks about how lonely it can feel to try and manage your health out here.

You're not near family. Your partner is on a roster. Your friends are exhausted too.

The nearest specialist is a flight away. And even when you do get an appointment ~ you're starting from scratch with someone who doesn't know you. So you just… keep going. You push through. You add it to the list of things you'll deal with later.

I lived in Port Hedland for two and a half years. I know this feeling. I saw it in the women around me constantly, capable, strong, holding everything together while quietly running on empty.

You shouldn't have to navigate your health alone.

I'm hosting a free online webinar ~ Stress, Sleep & Sanity, for women in regional and remote Australia on June 25th at 7.00pm. 45 minutes. Free. Online. And if you can't make it live, I'll send you the recording.

The GP appointment that went nowhere...

Something I heard a lot when I lived in Port Hedland ~

You finally get an appointment.

You wait weeks for it.

You sit in that waiting room for an hour.

You get 10 minutes with a doctor you've never met before.

You try to explain everything that's been going on.

They run a standard blood test.

The results come back — "everything looks normal."

And you walk out feeling more lost than when you went in.

This is not a flaw in you.

This is a flaw in the system.

One GP clinic for an entire region. Rotating doctors. No one who knows your
history. No time to look at the full picture.

Women in the Pilbara deserve better than this.

That's why I'm hosting a FREE WEBINAR: Stress, Sleep & Sanity — for women in
regional and remote Australia, who are tired of not getting answers.

Exhausted, wired, not sleeping properly and constantly pushing through?

Living in the Pilbara places a unique kind of stress on the body, especially for women balancing work, family and the mental load.

After living and working in Port Hedland for two and a half years, I created this webinar to support women in regional and remote Australia wanting real answers.

There's a story a lot of women tell themselves when they're struggling:

'I should be able to handle this.'
'Other people have it harder.'
'I'll deal with it when things calm down.'

But here's what I've learned from 16 years of working with women:

The ones who get the best outcomes aren't the ones who wait until they're at rock bottom. They're the ones who decide ~ at some point ~ that they deserve to feel well, and they reach out before things get worse.

If your energy is low, your mood is unpredictable, your sleep is broken, your body feels foreign to you ~ that's enough of a reason to get support.

You don't have to be sick enough. You don't have to earn it.

I see clients online on Thursdays (day and evening) If you're in the Pilbara, in regional WA, or anywhere you've been waiting to find the right support ~ I'd love to hear from you.

DM me, or book at www.teneekahill.com💛

(And if this isn't the right time for you ~ save this post. It'll be here when you're ready.)

Let me give you a simple picture of what's happening hormonally during perimenopause ~ without the overwhelm.

OESTROGEN fluctuates wildly before it declines
This isn't a slow, steady drop. It spikes and dips unpredictably. Some weeks high, some months low. This is what creates the range of symptoms ~ hot flushes, mood changes, brain fog ~ all tied to this instability.

PROGESTERONE declines early and steadily
This is the calming hormone. When it drops, sleep suffers, anxiety increases, and the nervous system becomes less resilient. Most women notice progesterone effects before they notice oestrogen effects.

CORTISOL (stress hormone) makes everything worse
High cortisol ~ from chronic stress, poor sleep, blood sugar swings ~ directly competes with progesterone and puts more pressure on an already stretched system.

The goal isn't to fix these hormones overnight.
The goal is to reduce the stress load, support the nervous system, and work WITH the transitions that are happening.

That's the approach I take with every woman I work with.

Questions? Drop them below, I'd love to help. Teneeka x

It's not just the physical symptoms.

It's the grief of feeling like you don't recognise yourself anymore (who is that in the mirror looking back at me?)
It's the rage that comes out of nowhere and frightens you (eek)
It's the crying at an ad for no reason you can explain (uncomfortable work moment)
It's the loss of confidence in a body you used to trust (devastating)

Perimenopause is a profound transition ~ not just hormonally, but emotionally and psychologically.

And most women go through it feeling completely alone, wondering if they're imagining things or if something is wrong with them.

Nothing is wrong with you. You are in a season of significant change, and your nervous system is doing its best to keep up.

I think there needs to be more honest conversation about this.

So I'll start ~ the emotional piece is often what brings women to me. Not hot flushes. Not night sweats. But feeling like themselves is gone.

Have you experienced this? I'd really love to hear your story in the comments 💛
