Day 5 - To connect Today is all about the small steps to finding connection - the voice message to a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, the community group you’ve been meaning to try or the coffee with a neighbour.

Staying socially connected does wonders for our health, but many feel lost and disconnected.

Ahead, we talk about building real connection – when you have a disability, move into a new stage of life and more.

Day 3 - To rest
On Day 3 of Women’s Health Week, we’re giving rest the attention it deserves. Getting good sleep is one of the most powerful things you can do for your health - and for many women in Australia, it’s also one of the most difficult things to achieve. Anxiety, perimenopause, pain, shift work and small children - there are so many reasons sleep doesn’t come easily.

Day 2 - To move
On Day 2 of Women’s Health Week, we’re reframing what it means to be active. Too often women are told that exercise must be intense, structured or time-consuming to make a difference.

It can be hard to fit exercise into a busy or challenging schedule, especially if you have a chronic illness or disability.

Let’s skip the guilt and get real about moving in ways that work for you.

This week is Women’s Health week - sponsored by Jean Hailes
This year’s theme, ‘Do it anyway’, is about taking small steps for your health, on your terms.

It’s not about pushing through pain or pressure. It’s about giving yourself permission to prioritise your health, whether that means seeking support, asking another question, taking time to rest or doing what feels right for you.

To help you do just that, we’re exploring a different health topic every day this week. Look below for practical information, expert advice and women’s stories from around the country.

Day 1 - To fuel
Join us on Day 1 of Women’s Health Week as we explore practical nutrition tips, expert insights and the simple food habits that can make a real difference to how you feel.

🩺 KIDNEY ACTION WEEK | 10 -17 AUGUST 2026 🩺

This Kidney Action Week, let’s put kidney health on the agenda and help raise awareness of a disease that can often go unnoticed.

Kidney Health Australia reports that around 1 in 7 Australian adults have signs of kidney disease, with many people unaware they have it. Up to 90% of kidney function can be lost before symptoms appear-making early detection incredibly important.

The good news is that early detection can make a real difference. A Kidney Health Check can include a simple blood pressure check, a blood test, and a urine test.

👉 Take a few minutes to complete the Kidney Risk Test and, if you’re at risk, speak with your GP about getting your kidneys checked.

This week, let’s spread the word, encourage our family and friends to get checked, and show our support for Australians living with kidney disease.

❤️ Know your risk. Get checked. Protect your kidneys.
