Plus is an industry leading day program, empowering people with disability who require higher levels of behaviour support, to make meaningful contributions through work activities. This is groundbreaking for the disability community in Australia. Plus currently operates from one site – at unit 5, 10 Rodborough Road, Frenchs Forest, NSW – with plans to expand in the coming years.

Something exciting is taking shape in the backyard of our Frenchs Forest Hub!

Our participants have been getting hands-on, building raised garden beds and developing practical skills along the way. Now, we’re ready for the next step: filling them with life!

We’re looking for support from our local community to help provide a few final garden essentials:

🌱 Seeds & seedlings
🌾 Pea straw
🪵 Stakes & trellises
🕸️ Bird netting

With a little community support, we can turn these garden beds into a space for learning, connection, wellbeing and plenty of growing!

Music on, sunshine out and Lil was ready to dance! 💃☀️

Lil and the Plus crew recently got together for an outdoor Zumba session, and Lil was right in the middle of it, bringing plenty of energy and some great moves!

A good excuse to get outside, have a laugh and enjoy moving together. 💙

Timone loves books and storytelling, so spending time at the local library has become a regular part of his routine. Whether he’s discovering a new story or getting stuck into an old favourite, a trip to the library is always a good day for Timone!📚💙

On Monday, 5th of October, the Plus hub will be closed for the public holiday. We will reopen as usual on Tuesday, the 6th of October.

Help Our Garden Bloom! 🌱

Our incredible Plus day program participants have been working tirelessly in our Frenchs Forest Hub backyard, building raised garden beds from scratch! For our team, gardening is more than a hobby, it’s a hands-on way to build practical life skills, boost wellbeing, and foster meaningful connection in a supportive environment.

We are on the final stretch to bring this garden to life, but a few essential supplies fall outside our current budget.

We are seeking donations of:
- Seedlings & seeds
- Bird nets
- Stakes & trellises
- Pea straw

Over the past few months, Yuumi has been trying some new things and stepping a little further outside her comfort zone. 💙

With the support of her team, she’s been getting more active, even stepping onto a treadmill for the very first time. She’s also been getting out and about in the community, including catching public transport into the city to visit the QVB.

For Yuumi, busy environments can sometimes feel overwhelming, but she recently headed out without her usual noise-cancelling headphones. It was a big step, and a great example of Yuumi finding her own way through new experiences.

It’s been lovely to see Yuumi trying new things, finding what works for her and enjoying the feeling of doing something she once found challenging. 💙

Big things for Max! 💙👏 Over the past few weeks, Max has been working towards some important personal goals, including learning to navigate public transport independently and getting involved in our vocational program by delivering flyers around the local community.

It’s been great to see Max putting his goals into action and building his independence along the way. 🙌

Meet Harry! 👋

Harry joins us at Plus one day a week while continuing his high school studies. He’s already getting involved in our vocational programs, from delivering flyers in the community to helping build Ezyline orders.

We’re excited to have Harry as part of the Plus family! 💙
