After a year at Jigsaw, Jack says the best part is that no two days are the same. He’s met new people, learned new skills, and tried out different jobs.

He’s taken on tasks like running the morning brief and welcoming visitors, which has helped him build confidence and communication skills.

With a short-term goal of working in retail or office administration, and a long-term goal of becoming a travel journalist, Jack is gaining the skills and experience to help him work towards what comes next.

We can’t wait to see where his journey takes him! 👏

A special day at NSW Parliament House! 🏛️💙

Jigsaw trainee Abby Harris and Fighting Chance CEO Nina recently met with Michael Regan MP for a visit to Parliament House, where they had the opportunity to share more about Jigsaw and the impact of inclusive employment.

It was also wonderful to see Jigsaw Australia recognised in the NSW Parliament, shining a light on the work happening in our community to create pathways into meaningful employment for people with disability.

Thank you to Michael Regan MP for championing inclusive employment and taking the time to hear directly from Abby about her experience at Jigsaw.

We’re proud to announce that Jigsaw Australia has joined the NSW Digital Compact’s 20% Alternative Pathways Pledge, with our Head of Engagement, Susannah, signing the pledge on behalf of Jigsaw.

The pledge brings organisations across government, education and industry together around a shared commitment to creating more accessible pathways into digital careers, with 20% of entry-level digital hires to come through alternative pathways by 2030.

For Jigsaw, this is an important step towards creating more opportunities for people with disability to build skills, gain experience and access meaningful employment.

We’re excited to be part of a growing movement working towards a more inclusive digital workforce, where talent and potential are recognised beyond traditional pathways.

The doors are officially open! Jigsaw partner Kirinari Community Services has launched its new Rise Training and Employment hub in Orange!

Following the success of the Albury hub, Rise Orange is creating new pathways for people in regional NSW to build skills, confidence and experience on their journey towards meaningful employment.

It's fantastic to see our partnership with Kirinari continue to grow, creating more opportunities for inclusive employment in regional areas.

We can’t wait to see where the journey takes the first trainees as they discover their strengths, build transferable skills and take huge strides towards open employment. 💙

On Monday, 5th of October, our Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra & Brisbane hubs will be closed for the public holiday. We will reopen as usual on Tuesday, the 6th of October.

The Melbourne hub will be open as usual.

When Jordan joined Jigsaw, he wanted to build his confidence, connect with others and step outside his comfort zone. Now, Jordan is moving into a public sector role with DETSI and has a message for employers: “Give people a chance. Let them show what they can do.”

It’s not every day the teachers become the students! 👏We recently welcomed two teachers from Golden Grove High School to Jigsaw, where they got hands-on with the work tasks their Pathfinder students will be taking on.
