We're proud to announce another step towards making driver training more accessible in Canberra!

Thanks to our valued partnership with Mobility Engineering, Fifth Gear Mobility & Driving Solutions now has BraunAbility Stamp Pedal Extensions fitted to our demonstration and driver training vehicle support by Hyundai Australia.

These adjustable pedal extensions are designed to ensure all individuals can safely reach the pedals without reducing their back support whilst still maintaining a safe distance from the steering wheel. The extensions can be adjusted for distance, height and pedal spacing, they feature a quick-release system for easy removal, and can be fitted to both automatic and manual vehicles.

Who can benefit from pedal extension?

Many of our installation have been for clients of shorter stature or clients with Achondroplasia (Dwarfism).

We are proud to be the only driving school in Canberra currently offering this specialised equipment, giving more people the opportunity to learn to drive with confidence and independence.

It’s here this February!

One Raceway Vision Impaired Drive day brought to you by Fifth Gear Motoring Mobility and Driving Solutions

We are excited to offer the chance for some lucky people to get behind the wheel!

Thanks to One Raceway for coming on board and partnering with us to deliver such a rewarding event!

Would you like the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a car again or for the first time? One Raceway is hosting a Drive Day run by Fifth Gear Motoring specifically for people who are blind or vision impaired, to drive a car with a qualified instructor. Drive day will be Tuesday the 24th of February 2026, and all participants are welcome to bring family, friends or carers along for the day.

This is the final call for expressions of interest for our upcoming One Raceway Vision Impaired Drive Day brought to you by Fifth Gear Motoring. The cost is $50.00 per person, with all proceeds donated back to CBS.

Location:
One Raceway, 4770 Braidwood Road, Tirrannaville NSW (approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from Canberra).

Transport:
Participants are required to organise their own transport to and from the venue. If you have any concerns or need to discuss this, please contact the CBS office on (02) 6247 4580.

Time:
9:30am till 1:15pm on the 24th of February 2026

Food and Drink:
Finger food and snacks will be provided on the day. There will be multiple water stations available on the day, but participants are welcomed to bring their own water or food.

Clothing:
Please wear comfortable clothing with enclosed shoes. No thongs or sandals.

Payment:
Before the drive day, participants are required to pay the Drive Day fee of $50.00. The fee is to be paid via electronic or cash by 5pm on the Tuesday 17th of February. You can contact the CBS office for an invoice to be raised on 6247 4580 or by email [email protected] We can also process credit card payments over the phone (if required). Receipt for payment will be issued to each person.

Waiver:
Along with your payment, you are required to complete and sign a waiver. This waiver will be sent out in a PDF format to those with their names already on the list, and to any future participants. We can also print these out at the CBS offices upon request. All waivers need to be completed and handed back to the CBS office by 5pm the 17th of February to ensure the team can prepare all logistics accordingly.
