I think I can officially say it…
I’m out of survival mode.
And f**k… That feels BIG.
If you’ve been here for a while, you’ll know this hasn’t happened overnight.
Six years ago, I had a four-year-old and a two-year-old, and I was already so far away from myself.
I was parenting, working, trying to hold everything together, and somewhere along the way I had completely lost touch with who I was.
The last six years have been a whole fu***ng journey.
Motherhood.
My marriage.
My relationship with myself.
Deep self-reflection.
Self-love.
Unlearning.
Rebuilding.
There were years where I was deeply depressed and anxious. Where I didn’t know who I was. Where I hated myself. People-pleased. Abandoned myself. Felt completely stuck.
And over the last couple of years, I became really aware that I was slowly coming out of survival mode.
I could feel myself changing.
I could feel myself coming back.
But I don’t think I realised until now that I’m actually here.
Certainly not perfect.
Not healed.
Absolutely not finished.
Just… No longer living from a place of survival.
(Thank god! (me - I am the god)😂
I’m not constantly trying to get through the next thing.
I’m not desperately trying to fix myself.
I’m not abandoning myself to keep everything and everyone else okay.
I feel present.
I feel safe within myself.
I feel alive.
And honestly, after six years of doing the work…
I think I’m finally getting to experience what all of that work was for.
Not becoming a different woman.
Coming home to the woman who was always there underneath it all.
And my gosh…
I’m really, really proud of her ♥️🔥🧜♀️💃🧝♀️🌶️
