WHAT LOOKS IMPRESSIVE v WHAT ACTUALLY MATTERS

There is nothing wrong with a well-equipped studio, but having limited space forces us to consider what we really need to get great client outcomes and how to set patients up for success in their own environments.

You see, equipment is not a proxy for reasoning.
The most useful thing a practitioner can do is explain your body in plain language & and give you a path forward that doesn't require you to come back every week indefinitely.

We believe in the power of the built environment in healing, but not one that needs to introduce a heap of expensive equipment to facilitate the outcome. No shockwave, no force plates, no treadmills, no gym.

What we do have is time, attention, and a clear process. If that's what you're looking for, we'd like to meet you.

I'm Chace. Principal Osteopath at Good Days Studio.

The cost of living crunch forces people to make real decisions about where their health budget goes, and as non-discretionary items get cut we are seeing some interesting trends.

I see many clients who've invested in tracking devices, specialist equipment and so-called miracle balms, and still many don't understand what's happening in their body.

Honest take. The most valuable thing you can spend money on is a practitioner who gives you time, explains things clearly, build yuor awareness and sends you away with a plan that is built with understanding your unique situation. Everything else is secondary.

Not all of it is useless. But if you're choosing between expensive technology and a practitioner who listens you know which one is more likely to get you the outcome you need.

The grip strength test costs nothing and predicts more about your long-term health than most clinical assessments.

It's one of the most robust markers in the longevity literature, consistently linked to cardiovascular health, fall risk, functional capacity, and all-cause mortality outcomes.

Meanwhile, clinics are investing in shockwave therapy machines and VALD force plates and fancy treadmills.

Some of this technology is genuinely useful. But none of it replaces a practitioner who can tell you what's actually happening, and build you a plan you can follow without a specialist facility.

Your Garmin or Apple Watch probably already holds more health data than you're acting on. A $10 resistance band and a clear protocol will outperform expensive equipment used inconsistently.

Invest in understanding. The equipment is secondary.

Change is a constant.

It's true what they say.

There have been a few movements in the studio recently as we navigate how we best serve our loyal clients and the community.

What do people need, how do they want their care to look ? How can we best meet people where they are in their journey?

We are excited by the next chapter and all the potential it can bring.

We have a few announcements & new services on the way that we feel are well aligned to allowing you return to not just good days, but your best days yet. ✨

Are you walking on water yet? πŸ’¦

Yes there is the rare occasion, maybe an acute injury, maybe your post op or maybe clear improvement in symptoms and the only option is hands on treatment where you need a few sessions per week for a few weeks.

But on the whole this is rare and always should be coupled with a clear explanation and a plan to taper.

It's been too many occasions we hear things like I had 20-30 sessions over a couple months and there was no end in sight, nor was there any clear improvement.

If this sounds like something you have encountered your not alone and you don't have to keep going with more of the same. You deserve better
