Wei Qi is your body’s outermost layer of defence.
It circulates at the surface, warms the skin, and determines how well you adapt — to a change in season, a cold breeze, grass pollen, a big event, whatever comes.
You build it the same way you’d build any other kind of capacity: before you need it.
— Consistent movement. Qi Gong is particularly good for this.
— Warm, cooked food. Congee, soups, stewed vegetables over raw.
— Sleep that actually restores.
— Tonic herbs like Huang Qi and Ginseng, taken regularly (not when unwell)
Chinese medicine has always framed prevention this way. The physician who keeps you well enough that illness never takes hold was considered the most skilled — not the one called in to manage a crisis.
Building resilience is the same principle, applied to daily life. The goal is capacity now, so the inevitable demands on it — physical, seasonal, circumstantial — find you ready.
