We're excited to introduce Allie Deayton, who officially joins our Melbourne team today as a Senior Occupational Therapist! 🎉

With experience spanning Australia and the UK, including the NHS and specialist schools, Allie brings a wealth of knowledge supporting children and adults with diverse and complex needs.

Allie has a particular passion for paediatrics, sensory processing, complex behaviours and life skills development, helping people build independence, achieve meaningful goals and participate more confidently in their communities.

🌏 A little fun fact: Allie has explored an incredible 50 countries! When she's not supporting her clients, you'll likely find her hiking, embracing a new adventure or planning her next destination.

A great morning underway at the Wyndham Seniors & Carers Expo!

Nadine Toic (Head of Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement) and Claudia Hedberg (Regional Manager,Victoria) are representing Cameron Wellness Centre today and connecting with older people, carers, families, community organisations and fellow service providers from across Wyndham.

Events like this are an important part of building stronger local connections - creating opportunities to share information, better understand what matters to older Australians and their support networks, and help people navigate the services available to support independence, wellbeing and participation in their community.

If you’re thinking it, ask. 💛

Today is R U OK? Day - but perhaps the most important part of this year’s message is “Any Day.”

At Cameron Wellness Centre, connection, care and looking out for one another shouldn’t be reserved for one day of the year.

Sometimes the signs are obvious. Often, they’re not. Someone might seem a little quieter, more withdrawn, distracted or overwhelmed than usual. And when something feels different, it’s okay to trust that instinct and check in.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need the perfect words. A genuine “Are you OK?”, followed by the time and space to really listen, can mean more than we realise.

For us, Family, Community, Trust and Respect are more than organisational values. They’re reflected in the everyday moments - noticing one another, making space for honest conversations and creating environments where people feel safe to say when things aren’t quite right.

So today, across our teams and the communities we support, we’re reminded to keep the conversation going.

Ask. Listen. Encourage action. Check in.

Happy Father’s Day!

Today we celebrate the dads, grandfathers, stepdads, carers and father figures who show up in the big moments - and, just as importantly, in all the little everyday ones.

The encouragement. The guidance. The patience. The laughs. The quiet reassurance. And the simple act of being there.

At Cameron Wellness Centre, family, community, trust and respect are at the heart of who we are. We see every day the difference that strong, supportive relationships can make in helping people feel safe, connected and empowered to thrive.

To the fathers and father figures across our CWC community - our team, clients, families, partners and the communities we are privileged to work alongside - thank you for the role you play and the difference you make.

We also recognise that Father’s Day can hold different meaning and emotions for different people, and we’re thinking of you too.

Communication creates possibility…to thrive.

As Speech Pathology Week 2026 comes to a close, today’s message brings the week together beautifully.

Speech pathology reaches across so many aspects of life - communication, relationships, learning, literacy, participation, independence, and eating, drinking and swallowing.

The goal is not simply better performance on a task.

It is supporting outcomes that translate into greater safety, connection, autonomy, wellbeing and quality of life.

Across this week we have explored what communication can create:
To connect.
To learn.
To grow.
To belong.
To choose.
To participate.
And ultimately — to thrive.

To the speech pathologists across Cameron Wellness Centre, thank you for the expertise, curiosity, advocacy and care you bring to the people, families and communities we support.

And to speech pathologists everywhere - happy Speech Pathology Week 2026.

When communication is accessible, respected and supported, the possibilities extend far beyond words.

We’re proud to be at the NDIS Disability Expo 2026 in South Morang today, with our Regional Manager Claudia and Clinical Manager Jenna representing Cameron Wellness Centre and connecting with participants, families, carers, support coordinators, fellow providers and members of our wider community.

For us, events like today are about much more than showcasing services. They’re an opportunity to listen, learn, build genuine relationships and create stronger pathways to support for the people and communities we serve.

Communication creates possibility…to participate.

Participation is where communication becomes part of everyday life.

At home. At school. At work. In healthcare. In friendships. In culture. And within the wider community.

Speech pathologists help identify and reduce communication barriers so people can engage more meaningfully in the activities, relationships and environments that matter to them.

Sometimes that means developing communication skills. Sometimes it means introducing AAC or other supports. And sometimes the most important intervention is changing the environment or strengthening the knowledge and confidence of the people around the individual.

At Cameron Wellness Centre, we see participation as more than simply accessing a service.
It is about supporting people to have a voice, a role and genuine opportunities to contribute.

Because communication should create pathways into community - not barriers around it.
