In the year of the exuberant and powerful horse energy, this month was asking us to check in how we are feeling with what has unfolded in our lives during the start of the year.

Are our emotional boundaries needing a reassessment, do we need more slow in our daily routine, are we letting fear unground us.

The reflections were strong this month. This was your opportunity to take a deep breath before the momentum propels forward in Snake month.

TMJ pain or tension, these are some of our favourite acupressure points to help. Go gently, and listen to what feels right for your body with these points.

ST-6: on the highest point of the masseter muscle. Locate by finding the angle of the jaw, and finding the peak of the muscle. Clenching the jaw muscle may help with location.

ST-7: located just below the cheekbone. Just in front of the tragus of the ear.

LI-4: on the back of the hand. Move thumb and index finger toward one another, located at the end of the crease that is formed on the back of the hand. This one is a powerful point to alleviate pain and influence the head, jaw and neck.

A deeper view into this area would lead us to ask what are you not expressing, or perhaps what is your gut trying to tell you? These could be journal prompts or something to ponder on your next drive or walk.

Move that Qi, encourage that free flow and move with the energy of life.
