In Chinese medicine the pericardium meridian is linked to emotions. Given its proximity to the heart, we can understand its involvement with our heart and emotions.

This research highlighted the influence of acupuncture points on the pericardium channel on locations within the brain. These brain regions are able to modulate local and remote emotion and cognitive networks. Highlighting the potential to support our emotional processing, and the specific influence points can offer.
