This morning we checked the footy tips, with Derryn scoring the highest with 6 correct. Vanessa watered the indoor plants and Polly helped refuel the van.
We met up with Gen U at the Leisure Time Centre for dodgeball, with everyone joining in and having fun. Afterwards, we enjoyed a game of 10-pin bowling followed by lunch at Corio Village.
A fun-filled day with lots of social interaction and participation. 😊

Today’s adventure started with a game of mini golf, where Vanessa had a fantastic win, Xody came in second place, and Jay finished third. After mini golf, we headed to the Celtic Festival in Portarlington and spent some time exploring the stalls, entertainment, and atmosphere. We enjoyed lunch together and couldn’t resist a cheeky donut as a special treat. It was a fun-filled day with plenty of laughs, good food, and great company.

Today Narnie and Xody did a great job setting the table and socialising with people at One Hope Community Care. They helped prepare and serve lunch as part of the Christmas in June celebrations. Both Narnie and Xody demonstrated excellent social skills and engaged positively with others throughout the day.

In your home Jayden made bacon and eggs for breakfast. In the evening, he helped prepare the roast dinner by making the gravy and setting the table.
After dinner, Phoebe completed some diamond art before bed. Everyone then played light-up giant Jenga, which Jayden had received for his birthday. Jayden was excited to share the game with his housemates.

Jayden attended his volunteering shift at Cultura, where he assisted with a range of tasks including refilling condiments and folding napkins. He interacted positively with residents and staff, demonstrating strong social skills and a friendly attitude throughout the day. Jayden also travelled independently by bus and participated in a game of Uno, enjoying the opportunity to socialise with others. Overall, Jayden showed excellent community engagement, participation, and confidence during his shift.

HFF met up with Cam for their fitness session today. Everyone was involved in collecting and setting up the equipment, showing great teamwork and participation. The session included exercises using the TRX, kettlebell and football, with participants completing squats, marches, push-ups and rows. Cam kept everyone moving by adding running intervals between each set, helping to build fitness and endurance. Everyone worked hard throughout the session and enjoyed being active together.

What a beautiful way to spend time together at Getaways B&B!
Our guests enjoyed a relaxing afternoon working on a colourful Ravensburger puzzle around the dining table, sharing plenty of smiles and laughter along the way.

The kitchen was also full of delicious aromas as Vince prepared a tasty salmon meal with his special homemade marinade — a wonderful reminder that the best getaways are about comfort, connection, and enjoying the simple moments together.

From puzzles and creative activities to home-style cooking and cosy spaces, there’s always something warm and welcoming happening here at Getaways B&B
