There was plenty of talking, laughing, games and picture finds along the way to keep everyone entertained. What an amazing adventure Adelaide has been! From exploring the city, visiting the zoo and museums, heading out to Monarto Safari Park, wandering through Hahndorf, cruising the Port River, shopping, markets and so many other wonderful experiences, we certainly packed a lot into our trip.Everyone should be incredibly proud of themselves. Day 6 of our Adelaide Adventures started off at a slower pace, with everyone enjoying a relaxed morning after a very busy few days exploring Adelaide. Once everyone was up, organised and everything was done around the B&B, we headed out for our final day of adventures. Our destination today was Harbour Town, where everyone enjoyed a good stint of shopping, looking through the different stores and picking up a few last-minute bargains and souvenirs.
After plenty of shopping, we headed back to the B&B for some lunch and began the job of organising and packing all our belongings ready for our journey home tomorrow.
Unfortunately, our amazing Adelaide adventure is coming to an end. We have certainly packed a lot into the last six days, made some wonderful memories, had plenty of laughs and experienced so many different places together. Tomorrow we say goodbye to Adelaide and begin our journey home. What an incredible adventure it has been!

25/8/26 JD Adelaide Adventures
Day 5 of our Adelaide Adventures started off a little differently, with the wet weather keeping us indoors for the morning. We decided it was the perfect opportunity to have a few games of bingo at the B&B. Everyone got involved, listening carefully for questions and hoping to be the first one to yell BINGO! There was plenty of friendly competition, laughter and excitement throughout the games, making it a great way to start our day. After bingo, we got ourselves organised and headed off to the Adelaide Zoo for our next adventure. Everyone was excited to explore the zoo and see the huge range of animals. We made our way around the different exhibits, stopping along the way to watch the animals and learn more about them.Throughout our visit we were able to listen to some of the keeper talks, where everyone had the opportunity to hear some interesting facts about the animals, their behaviours, what they eat and how they are cared for at the zoo. It was great to see everyone taking an interest, asking questions and enjoying the experience. We continued exploring the zoo, taking our time to look at the different animals and enjoying being out together despite the cooler and slightly wet weather. There were plenty of conversations about the animals we saw, along with lots of smiles, laughs and photos to remember our visit.
After spending a good part of the day exploring the zoo, it was time to head back to the B&B. Everyone was happy to get back, settle in and spend some time relaxing after being on their feet for much of the day. We enjoyed a quieter afternoon together, chatting about our favourite parts of the zoo and having some well-earned downtime.Another fantastic day of our Adelaide Adventures completed! Even though the weather wasn’t completely on our side, it certainly didn’t stop us from making the most of the day and creating some more wonderful memories together.

Day 4 our Adelaide adventures took us to the South Australian Maritime Museum in Port Adelaide. Everyone enjoyed walking through the museum and looking at all the different displays about South Australia’s maritime history. There was so much to see, from old ships and boats to stories about the people who travelled and worked on the water. Everyone enjoyed exploring the different levels, looking at the artefacts and learning about what life was like at sea many years ago. After our time at the sea everyone went to coffee cartel for a warm drink . We then made our way to the National Railway Museum, which was another great experience. Everyone loved seeing the huge collection of old trains, locomotives and railway carriages up close. We were able to walk around the different trains, look inside some of the carriages and see how people used to travel. It was amazing seeing the size of some of the old steam trains and learning about the history of the railways in South Australia.
There was plenty to look at and explore at both museums, and everyone really enjoyed the day. Another fantastic Adelaide adventure filled with history, learning, lots of walking and, most importantly, plenty of great memories together.

Another amazing day of Adelaide adventures! We started our morning at the Adelaide Farmers’ Market at the Showgrounds, checking out all the beautiful fresh produce and local products. The highlight of the morning was getting to meet Poh from MasterChef! Everyone was very excited to see her. We continued exploring the market before everyone treated themselves to a cake from the Portuguese stall and a coffee.
Our next stop was the Old Adelaide Gaol, where we stepped back in time and learnt about its incredible history. Noel and Polly enjoyed reading about some of the men and women who had been imprisoned there and those who were executed at the gaol.
After lunch, it was time for our Port River cruise, where we explored the ship graveyard and went searching for dolphins. 🐬🚢 We were lucky enough to spot four dolphins, which had everyone very excited!
We finished off another fantastic day with dinner at The Lighthouse Wharf Hotel. A very full and exciting Day 3 with plenty of great memories made!

Today’s adventure took us to Monarto Safari Park, where we got to see an amazing range of different animals. We caught the safari bus around the park, getting off at different stops to explore and see the animals up close. Everyone really enjoyed the experience and there was plenty to see along the way.
After lunch, we drove to Hahndorf and spent some time exploring the beautiful town, looking through the different shops and enjoying the atmosphere. We then started the drive back, stopping at Sportys for dinner to finish off the day.
