Happy Early Childhood Educator’s Day!

Today we want to take a moment to celebrate and thank our Education Officer, Cara, for all that she brings to our CFLC community.

There are so many people in our team who contribute to the learning, growth and wellbeing of the children we share, but Cara holds a very special role in helping us all to be the best educators we can be. Through her knowledge and guidance, she keeps children’s play, learning and development at the heart of all that we do.

Cara, thank you for the care you show our children, the encouragement you give our team, and the passion you bring to early learning every day. Your work makes such an important difference to the experiences we create for children and families. Thank you for everything you do to help make our CFLC a place where children can learn, wonder, play and thrive.✨

Our nursery rhyme of the month for September is Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear. Collect a copy of the rhyme with fun ideas to do at home from the front desk when you’re next at the CFLC and join us for groups across the week to sing the rhymes together with us.

“Look mum, I win a book”
Congratulations on winning our book of the Month!
Whenever you’re visiting the CFLC flip through, read or look at and talk about the pictures and you can add your name into the draw to win September’s book of the month: Oh Dear, by Rod Campbell. The more times you read and look, the more entries you can add and a greater chance to win!

We have had a week full of joy, sharing books together, listening to our special book readers and engaging with all of the interesting learning activities especially to celebrate Book Week. A big thanks to the CFLC team for a great effort across the week.
On Monday, Grandma Poss (Donna) read Possum Magic after we all ate our morning tea of Hush's favourite foods.
On Tuesday, Janine read to us about teddies.
On Wednesday, our Child Health nurse, Tegan read Derek.
On Thursday, Cara (the mouse), read Frogs Are Our Friends as we sang and danced as frogs.
On Friday we were spoilt to hear a counting story by Pete from Libraries Tasmania, and Kate shared Where's My Teddy? to a captive audience.

Thank you so much to all of our special readers and an extra big thank you to all of our children and families who joined in for story time and dressing up.

Our very excited Book Week story time winners were: Tyrant, Maeve, Luca, Phoebe, Ryan and Colby. Thank you for joining us for story time throughout the week.
