There often comes a point where your skin doesn't spring back the way it used to, and fine lines start to stay put long after you've stopped smiling. Much of that comes down to your skin making less collagen and holding less moisture as the years go on.

Exion Face uses a blend of radiofrequency and ultrasound to gently warm the deeper layers of the skin, which is designed to stimulate your skin's own collagen and hyaluronic acid production. It's comfortable for most people, and most clients head straight back into their day. We'll check if it suits your skin at your consultation.

A course of four sessions, one to two weeks apart, is usually recommended, and treatment can focus on the mid-to-lower face, the neck, or the area around the eyes. Messina and Sam are both trained on Exion, and sessions start from $269.

Some mornings, the tiredness shows up around your eyes before you've even had a coffee, and concealer only goes so far. The skin there is thinner and drier than anywhere else on your face, so it's often the first place a short night or a busy season shows.

EyeDration Biomask is Synergie Skin's newest arrival, and it's made from bio-cellulose, a soft material that sits closely against the skin like a second layer. That close contact helps the caffeine, peptide and microalgae extract inside stay right where they're needed for the 15 to 30 minutes you wear it.

In plain terms, it's designed to help the eye area look less puffy, less shadowed and more hydrated, and you can use it at home up to four times a week.

Every plan we create starts with the person in front of us, so we began by looking closely at her skin. That meant understanding what was setting off the congestion, how her skin barrier was coping and what her routine at home looked like.

Everything on this shelf earned its place, and a fair bit that you might expect to see here did not.

We are fussy about what we stock, because recommending something to you means putting our name to it. If one of our nurses would not use it herself, it does not come in.
