Today Bjay had the opportunity to attend the Volunteering Leadership Training Program on behalf of Gladstone Mindcare hosted by Gladstone Regional Council and facilitated by Volunteering Queensland

It was great to connect with other organisations that have volunteer programs and hear about the different ways they recognise, support, and champion their volunteers. There were plenty of practical insights and ideas to take away, and it was encouraging to see the shared commitment to strengthening volunteering across our region.

A big thank you to Domita for presenting for delivering the program and creating the opportunity for local organisations to learn from one another.

💛 Sigi recently attended one of our Conversations for Life sessions and found it helpful in learning how to identify when someone may be struggling and how to provide support.

Gladstone Mindcare believes early intervention plays a crucial role in promoting positive outcomes and fostering long-term change by addressing issues proactively, building resilience, and providing individuals with the support they need to thrive. Early intervention support can prevent mental health and wellness concerns from escalating or becoming entrenched over time and becoming more of a significant issue.
