Yesterdays morning meditation and breathwork on the beach at Straddie (Minjerribah) grounding into the earth, breathing with the rhythm of the ocean and simply being present.

A different perspective a bird’s-eye view, I look so small amongst the vastness of nature, a beautiful reminder that sometimes I need to zoom out, slow down and reconnect to what really matters.

Feet grounded. Breath flowing. Heart grateful.

A big shout out to my beautiful friend Kimmy for the drone photo 🙏💚 www.traceysmith.com.au

A beautiful week away, feeling rested, grounded and grateful. Straddie (Minjerribah), you’ve filled my cup.

Nature, salty air, naps, little adventures, good food, laughter and connection a beautiful reminder of how important it is to slow down, nurture myself and make space to simply be.

Sometimes self-care is doing less, listening to what we need and allowing ourselves time to recharge.

Heart happy. Soul nourished. 🙏💚💚

We stumbled across this incredible root structure down on Cylinder beach Stradbroke island ( Minjerribah) yesterday it was like stepping into a little cave created by nature. Roots above us, roots around us, twisting and weaving their way through the earth.

There was something so grounding about standing amongst them.

A beautiful reminder that our roots matter too, the things that hold us steady, the people and places that bring us home to ourselves, and the connection we feel when we slow down enough to really notice the natural world around us.

Nature has such a simple way of reminding us to come back to the present, to feel our feet on the earth, breathe a little deeper, and remember what keeps us grounded.

Sometimes the best medicine is simply being amongst it all. 😍

The stunning Brown lake ( Bummiera) on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah), functions as a natural “antiseptic bath” where leaves and bark drop into the water from the melaleuca and slowly infuse the lake with natural tea tree compounds. These unique, amber-tinted waters have served the Quandamooka people, their women especially, as bush medicine, physical cleansing, and spiritual healing for thousands of years and a place they would come for birthing.

Came across this amazing tepee structure on our adventures yesterday.

I think there’s a part of me that will always love a cubby house.
Even as an adult, I’m still drawn to those little hidden spaces in nature, anywhere that feels like a secret little world of its own.

Maybe it’s remembering what it felt like as a child to create a space from almost nothing, a few sticks, some leaves, a blanket and suddenly it was a cubby a hideaway, a whole new world.

There’s something beautiful about staying connected to that sense of play. Growing older doesn’t mean we have to leave the magic behind.

When you and your mate realise your shadows have better dance moves than you do.

Just two grown women on Straddie, rocking it out with absolutely no choreography, questionable rhythm and zero concern about who might be watching.

Because THIS is friendship.

The people you can be ridiculous with. Laugh until your belly hurts with. Dance badly with. And completely be yourself around.

Find the friends who bring out your silly, playful side and remind you that we’re never too old to muck around thanks to my friend Kimmy for your friendship and fun. 🙏💚

This little fella was a delight to come across this afternoon the perfect poser. The kookaburra can symbolise the healing power of joy, the magic of laughter, strong family bonds, and the arrival of fresh new beginnings. I say yes to all of that. Spreading the joy with you today. 💚💚💚💚

Sometimes, all it takes is one tiny spark.

A spark of an idea.
A spark of courage.
A spark of creativity.
A spark of kindness.
A spark that reminds someone of what’s possible.

We never really know how far the sparks we create might travel. A conversation, an encouraging word, a new idea, or simply believing in someone can ignite something much bigger.

And sometimes we need to create that spark within ourselves,to try something new, follow the idea that keeps calling us, or take that first small step toward change.

Be the spark.
Ignite ideas. Inspire possibility. Bring light into your own life, and wherever you can, help light that spark in someone else.
