This weekend I’ll be attending the Juv’ae Cosmetic Collective Conference (CC26) on the Gold Coast.

Over three days, I’ll be joining cosmetic nurses, doctors, and industry leaders from across Australia for education, workshops, and professional development.

The cosmetic industry is constantly evolving, and I believe in staying up to date with current evidence, techniques, and best practices. I’m looking forward to bringing what I learn back to Venus Medispa and continuing to provide high-quality, personalised care to our Gladstone community.

Please note the clinic will be closed from Saturday 20 June while I attend the conference, with appointments resuming on Wednesday 24 June.

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is:

“If I have cosmetic treatments, I won’t look like myself anymore.”

The reality is that good aesthetic treatment shouldn’t change who you are… It should enhance what is already there.

That’s why I take a full-face approach rather than focusing on a single feature in isolation. When assessing a face, I’m looking at balance, proportions, support and overall harmony.

The goal isn’t to create a different face. It’s to bring balance and support to the features you already have.

Often, the most beautiful results come from subtle refinements across multiple areas rather than dramatic changes to one feature alone.

Subtle. Balanced. Natural.

That’s always the goal.

Can microneedling help acne scarring?

Yes - and it’s actually one of the most common reasons clients come to Venus Medispa for microneedling.

SkinPen microneedling works by stimulating your skin’s natural collagen production, which may help improve the appearance of acne scars over time.

It may also assist with skin texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and overall skin quality.

One thing I always remind my clients is that collagen takes time. While many people notice their skin looking fresher after treatment, the real improvements happen gradually over the weeks and months that follow.
