When people think hearing clinics, they probably imagine high-tech equipment, detailed assessments and professional care. What they probably don’t imagine… is Alan looking like he’s defusing a bomb while cleaning a hearing aid.

The truth is, there’s a lot more precision involved in hearing aid maintenance than most people realise. Moisture, wax and everyday wear can all affect performance which is why proper servicing is so important.

Thankfully for our clients, Alan takes the job very seriously… even if we enjoy giving him a hard time about it.

With services including the new Redux Hearing Treatment now available at The Hearing Centre, we’re helping hearing aids perform at their very best for longer.

Using advanced moisture removal technology, Redux safely removes hidden moisture from hearing aids and hearing devices in minutes, helping improve sound quality, performance and reliability. Even everyday exposure to humidity, sweat and changing weather conditions can impact how your hearing aids function over time.

Last week we mentioned that if you’ve visited The Hearing Centre Gladstone, chances are you’ve been welcomed by Alan… 👀😂

Well… apparently we may have overlooked one very important detail.

It’s actually Lynne at the front desk keeping everything running smoothly while Alan somehow keeps finding his way into the spotlight. 🤣👏

From organising appointments to welcoming patients with a smile, Lynne is the friendly face many people first meet when they walk through the door and probably the one making sure Alan stays on track too.

Sorry Lynne… we promise we can hear you now.

Did you know there are now “Scream Clubs” in the United States where groups of adults literally get together to scream their stress away? 😮😂

Apparently it’s designed to help people release tension, frustration and workplace stress.

Now… while we can’t officially recommend screaming at your boss, your staff or your Monday morning inbox, it does highlight just how much pressure and noise people deal with every day in business and life.

Ironically, constant exposure to loud noise, stress and busy environments can also contribute to hearing fatigue and long-term hearing issues over time.

At The Hearing Centre Gladstone, we’re all for healthy ways to manage stress… although we might suggest a hearing check before joining a screaming club.

Whether you've noticed changes in your hearing, find yourself asking people to repeat themselves more often or simply want peace of mind, a full hearing assessment can provide valuable answers.

Better hearing starts with understanding your hearing.

And let’s be honest… they’ve probably also helped settle a few “you never listen to me” arguments along the way. 👂😄
